Nice hospitable little stop off the highway. We came right when they were closing at 2:00 and they still took us in and fed us. We just ate some chicken fingers, fries, and salad. It was fresh and good.

A group of internet friends met here for breakfast today. Very friendly place. They love veterans and are a rather conservative oriented establishment. Lots of veterans and police/sheriff officers here today. I had biscuits and gravy with my eggs. Excellent! I will return there with family soon and our group will meet there again soon. Great place.

Not sure if they deserve 1 star. Loreen is a horrible owner. It is obvious she is not a people person. My husband and I were new in town looking for different places to try. Loreens is one place we will NEVER return to. I ordered biscuits and gravy and my husband ordered chicken fried steak. The waitress was fine. After we got our order she checked back with us and asked how it was. We said that the gravy wasn’t to our liking and added we thought it had too much sage in it. We suggested she check with the chef. We felt it was inedible. We however did not ask for a discount or even a new order. All of the sudden an older lady came up to our table with an attitude and just stood there staring at us with her hands on her hips. We didn’t know who she was or why she was there. My husband said,“can I help yo?” She said, «that’s what I was wondering»(attitude again). We said that the gravy wasn’t to our liking and we thought it had too much sage in it. She said EVERYBODYLOVESMYGRAVY. We again said we just didn’t care for it. She said,” there is no sage, it’s canned, I checked.” We again said we didn’t care for it. After she continued to argue with us about how everybody loves her gravy we ended up grabbing our check, paying, gave our waitress a decent tip and left. I wasn’t about to not tip our waitress for the owners horrible treatment. A group of us go out for breakfast every Sunday after church. As long as I am with the group, we will NOT be bringing our business to Loreens.

I really loved everything about this place! I love the décor, service and food. The fried chicken, spaghetti, garlic bread and Mr. Pibb were outstanding. They offered so many specials that it was tough to choose just one entrée. I am happy I found Loreen’s here on Unilocal!Thank you for supporting our Veterans. We’ll be back :-)

A bit out of our way but worth it. Real waitresses serving great corn muffins with real butter. A/C keeps up with the crowd. Fox News on the TVs. And big supporters of our military

I came to town on June 30th, 1996. The next morning my wife and I woke up and headed straight to Loreen’s Village Café on the river. It has been one of my favorite breakfast and lunch diners ever since. The service is fast, the food comes out piping hot and fabulous. It is consistent every time and I have eaten there well over 500 times. Loreen, Kim and all of the staff are outstanding. If you haven’t eaten here, definitely give it a try.

This placed should be named«The Right Wingers Teabag Café». The steak was the worst I have ever had, anywhere. Will never go back or recommend to anyone.

Good food, good staff, good price. You can’t beat that. If you are anything like me and have become very disappointed in what our country has become then this place is the place to dine. The slogans on the walls will remind you of what this country once was and can become again. God Bless America!

Omelettes served with a good olé side of xenophobia, and Fox News playing on every tv. The aggressive and poorly phrased messaging plastered on every surface of the restaurant telling anyone who doesn’t speak English, believe in the christian god, or worship guns and the american flag to go back to their country was enough to turn me completely off the already sub-par food and weak coffee. The server, however, was friendly enough– in spite of my nose ring, feminist T-shirt and unshaved armpits. My suggestion? Move along. You’ll be better off eating literally anywhere else.

Excellent breakfast, basic but done really well. Don’t come through looking for salmon on a bagel with herb cream cheese. Veggie omelette is really tasty, fresh onion and tomato with chunks of mushrooms. Serve it up with a side of tater tots and you’ve got an awesome breakfast. Old school, hometown place with great people and loads of regulars. Check it out when in the Palm Bay Area.

I love small family owned restaurants! At first glance Loreen’s looks like just about any restaurant held up in a strip mall. One thing that may catch your attention is the décor is has a strong patriotic theme. Perhaps not appreciated by some like Michael Moore, Karl Marx, and most Democrats. So if the flag or military service bothers you, then you will likely loose your appetite. There are a variety of French restaurants around and you can enjoy wine, cheese, and learn the word«abandonner». Most people who dine here are regulars and, yes, elderly. The staff is friendly, even though that was the first time in there they treated me like family. I wouldn’t piss them off though, they could be packing heat. The menu has sandwiches, burgers, fish, and shrimp just to name a few things. Good luck finding something not fried though. Cholesterol be damned, but it is good. They probably have discounts for public service personnel, there were many police having lunch, even if they didn’t get to finish. Overall, I do not get over there often but when I do I may make it a point to stop, salute the flag, clean my gun, and have a good old fashioned fried meal.
