Here at Red Fox Cellars, we pride ourselves in our bold and adventurous wines and hard ciders. We are respectful to but unbound by tradition and we think we just might be on to something. Join us to decide for yourself at our rustic and charming tasting room for free wine samples and stay for a glass or two on our patio. We serve a variety of sangria-​like wine cocktails as well as cider and fruit wine flights if you’re in the mood for something different. Come one, come all– all we ask is that you make yourself at home!

History

Established in 2014.

We’re a family of strong opinions, but somehow we get along. There are only a handful of things we all see eye to eye on, and the most important one is a belief that good food and good drink can make a good day great and a bad day good. We’ve spent a lot of time perfecting recipes, and along with that comes a lot of experimentation. We may try and fail here and there, but we learn a lot along the way. None of us is classically trained in wine making, and that’s nothing we’re ashamed of. As a matter of fact, we embrace it; it’s a point of pride; it’s an opportunity to be ourselves even in our wines, to take risks we see as practical that others see as crazy. There’s a lot to learn from the various traditions and schools of wine making, and we see ourselves as students of them all. We do not see our style as superior, we merely enjoy our freedom to move freely between tradition and invention.

Scott and Sherrie H.

Business Owner

Scott and Sherrie have been married for over 30 years and have 3 sons together. They lived in the Denver area for many years before deciding to purchase a vineyard and move to beautiful Palisade, Colorado. The idea to start a winery came shortly after the move but it took almost two years to open the tasting room. They are excited and humbled by the success they’ve seen thus far and are excited to share their tasting room and hand-​crafted products with everybody. Cheers!
