Smart Tech Repair

I brought in my phone into the store recently as the LCD was broken. I asked for his help and quickly and efficiently repaired my phone to its original state. His price was cheaper than most other places who would fix the phone. Very helpful

This place is awful. I was looking for a place to get my sons iPad repaired and saw the sign from Lake Cook Road.
While waiting in the car on a Saturday morning in front of the store 30 minutes before it opened, the owner blew his horn at my son and I. He told us that the lot in front of the store is not a parking lot.
I told him that we had seen his sign from the road and pulled into the lot to see if they were open. He asked me what I wanted from him. I told him I was a customer waiting for the store to open and deserved an apology.
After experiencing the awful customer service, my son and I went to a place where we were treated well and got the iPad repaired.
People who are planning to spend money with a store don’t deserve that type of rude treatment. Avoid this place and get your electronic gadgets repaired elsewhere.

I brought my malfunctioned Samsung tablet (which is a little bit over one year old) to an authorized Samsung agent at Best Buy where I bought my tablet from. He said the problem is due to the video card. I had to send it to Samsung to fix it. It may cause over couple hundred dollars. He even did not recommend me to fix it. I decided to bring it to Smart Techs. He said the problem was from a cable. He ordered the part and fixed it less than a week. The cost was much cheaper than Samsung. Thumbs up.
Few weeks later, they repaired my broken screen Ipad mini too. So far no problem.

Great service, quick and satisfactory with a warranty and word for the work they do. Definitely to go with them in case of any repairs.

Very unprofessional. Explained what was wrong very vaguely, and would keep on repeating same lines when I asked for more clarification. He didnt check with me upfront for parts and its cost, that were ordered to fix my phone. I strongly felt that parts that he ordered were not all (or at all) required, but he could not triage the problem without having them all. In that case, he should have told/​check with me upfront but he didnt. I ended up paying more than what my phone is currently worth. I also asked him if he wants to buy my phone instead, because they do buy old phones, to which he refused. So, he clearly KNEW the expense was not worth it and YET ordered parts without my prior consent. I would look for another place for my next tech needs.

Brought my phone bend and with a broken screen and they had it fixed for me within minutes and the price was really cheap I would recommend to anyone

I’ve had my various phones repaired by smart techs roughly 3 – 4 times over the past few years.
Initially I was pleased but the more I used them the unhappier I became. Repairs didn’t last long, and I would have to bring a phone back for the same problem. I would have to jump through hoops to prove the repair was under warranty.
These guys might be smart but don’t know much about customer service.

Terrible shop. I brought my iPhone in to have the headphone jack replaced and when I got my phone back, it was no longer operational. They had a too bad for you attitude and told me I was lucky that they did not charge me their $ 25 diagnosis fee. I took it to Verizon where I had bought it, but they were not able to get it working and could not figure out what these folks had done to it. I ended up having to get a new phone.

Interesting shop that doubles as a cleaner. Great service and really helpful! However, it took two tries to fix my phone. My phone’s battery was having a problem in which it would die by itself once it hits below 40%. I got my battery replaced at this store but it still had the same problem. Once the battery got replaced a second time (using batteries from a new shipment they just received apparently), my phone has been working fine and the battery doesn’t randomly die anymore. They didn’t charge me twice either since it didn’t work the first time around. I’m pretty happy with the end result and their honesty!

Great service! Reliable and remarkable work done to my iPhone. I would suggest this shop to anyone who’s having an issue with their smart phones tablets and computers.

This place is horrible. I suppose it should have been a red flag that it is inside a dry cleaners, but I went anyway since it is less than a mile from my house. I took my ipad in for a cracked screen. When I got it back, it was fine for a day before the screen popped out of place. I took it back again and once again it was fine briefly. I took it back again and told them it was the last time I would be back there, before I expected my money back. Once again the screen popped out, but also they caused a new problem. The screen now clicks randomly and is unusable.
I went in to inform them I wanted my money back, and the guy didn’t remember me. He didn’t apologize, and he suggested I should just get my repairs done elsewhere. I did get a refund, but his attitude was extra terrible, given the fact I had allowed them three tries at repairing a very simple problem. There was no effort at customer service at all. I should also mention that every time I took my ipad in to be fixed, it took them at least a day longer than they said it would.
TLDNR VERSION:
DO NOT GO HERE! THEY DID NOT FIX MY PROBLEM AND CREATED A NEW PROBLEM. AFTER 3 TRIES AT THE SAME SIMPLE FIX, ALL THEY DID WAS BREAK ANOTHER PART FOR ME TO FIX ELSEWHERE FOR MORE MONEY.
