Best salon! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Such a fun atmosphere and never disappoints. Never had a better shampooing either… no joke this place is the place to go. They always make sure that each client feels taken care of and satisfied. Give Salon Cienna a shot and they will not disappoint!!!

I love this salon! Maria is the best with color and style. She takes the time to listen to what you want and makes you feel and look like a million bucks. I have very thin long hair and she knew exactly what I needed to make my hair look fuller and to bring it back to life. I will be a long time customer.

I have long, curly hair and NO ONE cuts and colors my hair like her! It took me thirty years to find Maria but have followed her now for almost a decade! My hair grows quickly and healthy because of her! She is honest (as a professional hair stylist should be, which I appreciate) and always accommodating! Ask for the new owner, Maria! She’s amazing! Love her work!

I had a haircut here with (I believe), Lisa. I’d just moved from MN, and was looking for a new stylist. While I really did enjoy the haircut that I received, and I’ve loved it since, I wasn’t a huge fan of Lisa. I tried to talk and be friendly, but there was very little conversation. I’m not sure if she just didn’t like my personality, or just isn’t that friendly… However, I ended up leaving the appointment feeling as if my presence was an inconvenience. It just made the situation feel very awkward. She didn’t really talk that much with my boyfriend either (new client appointment, after mine).
I’m not sure if she just had an off day, but the demeanor just made the whole situation very uncomfortable and awkward for me, and I have since found a new stylist at another salon. When I told her I’d looked for a salon and chose them because they carried the Sexy Hair line, she said «We do, but I ONLY use Paul Mitchell.» I get it, you might prefer Paul Mitchell, but I don’t appreciate attitude over my preferred line of hair products, and one that your salon sells, no less.
I appreciate her expertise — she took a lot of time making sure the cuts on both sides were even. It was a degree of anal-​retentiveness that I can appreciate, but my stylist’s lack of «bedside manor» just completely overshadowed all of my positive experiences from the haircut.
The salon itself was clean and well organized, with some trinkets and jewelry for sale. I would have tried a different stylist here, but it just wasn’t worth it to me. While I had a bad experience, it’s entirely possible others would have a much better experience.

For the past few years I have had the WORST experience with salons in Palatine, Arlington Heights and Lake Zurich. All these salons prided themselves on telling me they had the best Certified Redkin colorist. Needless to say they were WRONG! Each one over processed and damage my hair! I had to cut off my long hair to shoulder length to look healthy again. Each time I asked for blonde highlights it came out brassy and orange… which I hate! Then they would have to go back and fix my hair and more damage !!! I have given up hope on finding a good colorist around here in the northwest suburbs. I looked up salons near me again and came across Salon Cienna. I read the reviews and decided to give this salon a try. I called and left a message. Maria had returned my call very quickly. By the time I returned her call back I knew they were going to be closed. However I wanted to leave a message to make a appointment. To my surprise Maria answered and I had asked her if their was anyone in her salon that was Redkin Certified and she told me she was. I booked my appointment for this past Tuesday July 14^th. I went in with little expectations because of my past highlight nightmares. My search is over I found the Colorist Queen!!! :)))))))!!! Maria is hands down the best colorist that I found in years! I told her my story and what I wanted. She took time to listen. She looked at my hair and roots, she saw the awful highlights from the past. Maria assured me she could fix my hair and give me the blonde hair lights that I wanted. WOW Maria did a outstanding job!!! My highlights look GORGEOUS! She was even able to take out that brassy color from my past experience. I LOVE MY HIGHLIGHTS AND COLOR!!! I went into the salon with the ugliest highlights and came out looking AMAZING!!! I am one OVERJOYED lady!!! When I got home my husband couldn’t believe his eyes!!! He loved it as much as I did!!! What a difference he said!!! I am so grateful to Maria for doing such a FANTASTIC job!!! I will never let anyone touch my hair again!!! To all you ladies out there that are searching and in need for a superb colorist do yourself a favor and book your next appointment with Maria. She does wonders!

I have gone to Kym Victor for many years and followed her as she went to other locations. I am so happy with this location and the service, atmosphere it has. I am also happy that my manicurist, Stephanie, is there also! Everyone is more than accommodating.

Fran K at Salon Cienna is great! I get a great haircut and color and she’s always great to chat with during my appointment. I highly recommend her and the salon!!!
