Established in 1954.

Plum Grove Dental Associates has been providing dental care for over 55 years. We are conveniently located in the heart of downtown Palatine in a freestanding building at the corner of Colfax and Plum Grove Roads. The Palatine train station is within walking distance, and we also have ample parking in the lot behind our building. In order to fit your schedule, we offer daytime, evening and Saturday appointments.

We are pleased to have patients that come to us from Palatine, Barrington, Inverness, Arlington Heights, Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Deer Park and even further.

Our practice uses the newest technology with digital radiography. By using digital radiography, we are able to reduce the amount of radiation exposure while achieving high quality images.

I came to Dr. Topolo after a previous dentist did poor and unnecessary work. He spent a large amount of time with me, explained everything to me in detail, did not over charge me and gave excellent work! Im super happy I found Plum Grove dental and highly recommend their services and dentist!

We have had dentists from several different states over the years. The care from Dr. Luke and staff exceeds expectations. Professional, service oriented, safety/​quality oriented. Our children went here instead of going to a pediatric dentist –there was no need their care has been so excellent. I had my first crown on a back molar. Dr. Luke explained the entire procedure so I could make an educated decision. During the procedure the pain management was excellent and she constantly checked in with me as well as explained each step to me throughout. Janelle is the best hygienist I’ve ever had. The most efficient and careful to miss all my receding gums. Thank you all for your service and excellent care.

Went there for a cleaning and exam in preparation for getting an implant crown.
The exam was very thorough… as well as the cleaning. Good hygienists! Not worth $ 120 though… should have verified that they took Cigna Dental.
Felt a bit of an oversell on dental procedures such as gum surgery and the quote was a bit high at $ 1900 for the crown and abutment.
That’s double what it should be…
Going to another oral surgeon that is modern and thorough… and quotes me at over 1K less for the crown.

Lauren, the billing person, needs some help with her customer service. She comes off as a cranky witch. The dentists and hygienists are good, the folks at the desk all seem a little cranky when you call.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Harris for as long as I can remember. He’s great, as are his staff and hygienist, Jill. They’re always conscientious of doing what’s right, and giving options. I also like the fact that there are instances where they are willing to do nothing, cause that’s the right thing to do (rare, I know!).
My husband, who had not gone to a dentist in years, also likes Harris. He has nothing but great things to say, which was a pleasant surprise given his unease to even see someone!

I’ve been going to this group since 1970! They are not in my insurance group, but I continue to go to this group. Friendly, accommodating and caring. Virtually no wait time for appointments. Dr. Bernero is my third dentist in the group (even dentists move and retire I guess!), and he is wonderful.
If you are looking for great care with a personal touch, this is it.

Best dentist I’ve ever been to.
Literally the nicest staff, and they are extremely accommodating.
I rarely wait for more than 5 minutes.
Dr. Sylvestrek (sorry I know I butchered that) is a good dude. He has a really nice head of hair in case anyone was wondering.
The dental assistant is a really nice lady who is fun to talk to (or try to talk to while your mouth is having metallic objects inserted into it), and the front desk staff is also great.

Plum Grove Dental, in particular Dr. Bernero, has been my provider for more than a dozen years. The location is a reasonable walk from the train station, and the building’s well-​kept and the rooms well-​cared for. The front-​end staff is friendly and accommodating, assuring patients have enough time during the appointment for necessary work, and placing reminder calls on the day before. The dental assistants, some from the very thorough Harper College Dental Program, care greatly about patient comfort and work seamlessly with the dentists. The technology is state-​of-​the-​art, including computers for dental assistants to see the schedule from exam rooms, as well as allowing patients to view X-​rays taken moments before. The dentists are as talkative or as quiet as patients prefer, and work with great care and technical skill; Dr. Bernero’s the reason I lost my fear of dental work. I have highly recommend this place to family, friends, and coworkers, and they’ve taken my advice.

We have been clients of this dental practice for more than thirty years. Our two sons know no other dentists! This is a truly wonderful medical practice. Most of our time has been spent with Dr. Bernero. He does only what is really necessary, does it very well, and it usually doesn’t hurt. We have recommended Plum Grove Dental to our friends and colleagues and recommend these doctors to everyone who reads this post.
