History

Established in 2008.

Susan decided to leave corporate life in 2007 and in March of 2008, Yarnorama, Playground of the Fiber Obsessed, opened and has become a hub of fiber related activities throughout central Texas.

With each year, the number of knitters, spinners and weavers grows in numbers and skills as do the friendships and sense of community around the shop.

Meet the Business Owner

Susan F.

Business Owner

Susan started knitting at age 5 and has tried probably every fiber craft and art. In 1982, she began spinning and it has been a lifelong passion ever since. Shortly after, she learned to weave, traded a knitting machine for a loom and never looked back.

She pursued her fiber arts as an avocation while working in IT and Corp Exec jobs for Fortune 100 companies. When she decided to retire in 2007, it only seemed appropriate that she would put all of her business and fiber skills together and open a shop. Yarnorama is the result!
