Meh. I’ve been in a few times and each time walked out disappointed even when i found something to purchase. They carry a couple of my personal beer and wine favorites, but the selection is pretty limited overall and whenever I’m in the mood for something new I’m disappointed. They do carry Maui Brewing Co. Beer(yay!) but amazingly don’t carry Ocean Vodka(boo!). While they carry my all time fav, Ayinger Celebrator double bock,(which has been getting way easier to find the last couple years), they only carry it in large bottles, no 6 packs. I’m used to Maui prices, and this place is no exception… expect at least a dollar extra on every item. What gets me though is the unfriendly staff, all four times I remember going in the guy behind the register was unfriendly… First needlessly insulting the brands I asked about as being too low quality for them to carry, really you can’t just say«sorry we don’t carry that» and move on or suggest something else i might like. I thought this was just a wierd fluke but last week i got similar treatment for wanting to pay with an Amex card. Your bussiness can choose what to carry and what forms of payment to take, fortunately, I can choose somewhere else to shop in the future.

Happened upon this inconspicuous gem tucked in the corner of a small shopping center. Setting is space-maximized with nice high ceilings, an impressive beer selection and a high-end chilled wine cellar. There were also a limited collection of spirits and airplane sized booze. I appreciated the beer organized according to country of origin and sometimes by brewery. Noticed that some beers like Tecate and Miller Light(using as an example only) were offered in cans and bottles(i.e. Tecate in cans taste better than in bottles, go figure). A nice find and distraction from the sea of overpriced boutiques in Paia.

Like you would expect from the name– the wine corner has nice selection of wine and beer… For local beer I recommend the Maui Bikini Blond Ale… it is in a can but its darn tasty! The local winery in Maui was pretty gross so just go with what you know.
