These people know what they are doing! Been here many years and know all about the fishing seasons in the neighborhood. Cheryl and her brother Rob are always helpful. They know their products… Prices are reasonable and quality of fishing equipment is excellent for the price. I have supported this shop for many years because they know what they are selling… Good people and good vibes…

The guy working there was nice, but seemed more interested in telling his stories, than listening to us, or explaining the set ups he was selling us. Pretty good selection though.

Came here because I forgot my crabbing bait at home, although it was after their listed hours, the man working there was still open. If he wasn’t open, I’d have to pay an extra 50cents per pound for sardines at the café! The location is convenient and hours are good. Prices aren’t the best(compared to bigger shops/online, but hey, you’re helping out the little guy)

This is the place everyone needs to stop at before heading to the pier. If you ask, they have the answers. Be humble, and don’t act like you know everything and you will get the best information and tips on catching. Sheryl knows it all, beware you are not the smartest person in the room.

Great Bait and Tackle shop for sure! They have everything you need to fish or crab. The only problem is that when I need it there closed! Sometimes I drive by early afternoon to see if there open and I swear they are only open in morning and sometimes noon. I would really rather stop here before I hit the pier because it’s very convenient but now I don’t even risk it and I go to Hi’s Tackle Box before I head out to the pier.

This shop has a decent assortment of fishing supplies and the lady working there is very helpful and willing to share her knowledge with you. Their prices are a bit more expensive,(about $.50-$ 2.00 more than other stores) but it is worth it. The customer service is excellent!

They advertise as opening until 5PM, and yet when I went there at 4:30PM to pick up some last minute crab snares they had the door locked, and were vacuuming. Needless to say I went down a few blocks to the New Coast #2 Bait and Tackle and they were more than willing to accept my business.

The lady who waited on me was extremely nice and helpful re. crab snares, plus she has two great dogs in the shop which is always a plus. I’ll definitely go back.

I love this store. I have been going there for years. They are always top on my list when fishing in Pacifica. The woman who works there is so kind and helpful. The bait they sell if very fresh. I purchased Herring there this week for crabbing for only a few dollars. The crabbing is amazing right now. Go fishing and go to the rusty hook.

I think customer service is important, and the lady who works here does not. She badgered us into buying things that we did not need for our crabbing expedition. We reluctantly agreed to buy the things. Then, we I asked her for a couple of extra zip ties, she refused! I felt like we acquiesced to her demands, yet she wouldn’t return the favor in kind by handing us 2 extra plastic zip ties that cost one red cent. She’s a penny pincher for sure. The place is fine if you don’t interact with the lady. Everything you need to go crabbing at Pacifica Pier is here. But if you have a choice, go to the other tackle shop.

A great little shop with character. I read in another review that the owners were especially kind to children. This turned out to be true! A very kind lady took the time to explain the basics of fishing and crabbing to a 7 year old girl, looked at her fishing rod, picked out weights and hooks and bait for it, and gave her a free lollipop. She told us what fish people catch from the Pacifica Pier and encouraged us to talk to people there when we come back. The bookstore next door is like an extra awesome bonus!

I’ve been buying my fishing license here for years. It’s a nice little Mom and Pop shop with a good selection of saltwater fishing gear. No freshwater stuff but you really don’t need that around here anyway.
