Precision Tree Care

My HOA used these guys for a pretty large job, and after seeing the job they did, I decided to get a quote from them for a much smaller job but still too big to do myself. Ryan showed up promptly in the morning and assessed what I wanted done. They had an estimate in my email inbox that afternoon.
After signing the invoice and approving, they were in my back yard the next week completing the job. They were fast, efficient, and thorough. Reasonable rates too, in comparison to other bids. I think they do book up, so I think it’s better to get in touch with them sooner rather than later.
I strongly recommend them.

We had Precision Tree Care come out and remove a 15 foot tree and grind the stump down. They arrived early and worked fast. They also cleared the debris, leaving the area nice and clean. I highly recommend their services.

Great service. They showed up when promised and did a very professional job. The man who cut the trees has been doing this for 20 years.
They also trimmed a few bushes and repaired a few panels on my fence at no extra charge. Also they are bringing me some free wood chips for the side of the house next week. Highly recommend.

Really, it is as good as it gets. Called, estimate with all the licenses was in my email within 24 hours. VERY reasonable price for the complexity of the job (BIG tree, overhanging building, on a HILL with narrow access road). Scheduled the job at my convenience. Arrived when they said they would and got it done in one day, site totally clean and they not only let me have the wood chips for all the mud surrounding my new building but they actually had someone spread most of them too. Totally unnecessary for them to do that but they did and I was so grateful. PLUS amazing office staff. Patty answers phones and emails pretty instantly and honestly… that makes all the difference. REALLY pleased and this company has all the big boy toys to get any size job done. Very pleased indeed!

Had an amazingly great experience with Precision Tree Care today. They showed up on time (actually early!), were totally professional, did a GREAT job on trimming a couple of big trees and cleaning up a bunch of other misc. overgrown branches and things, and left our backyard cleaner than they found it! I don’t usually post reviews, but I’ve been so impressed with this company from the time we got the estimate, to the end of the job. Highly recommend them!

We needed to disappear a large (40 – 50′) Fan Palm from our backyard. To make it dramatic: it was in a tight corner, near some power lines. The tree had rained fronds on our backyard and our neighbors’ and damaged our patio roof. Not to mention, it was tearing up our fence. With «El Nino» looming; we needed to do something before it could do more damage; fall over; whatever.
I called a half-​dozen services and got estimates to remove the tree. Ryan, the owner of Precision was the first to respond and come out to survey. They were fairly priced (not the highest, not the lowest), and I thought he was straight-​up; no bs. The bid process and setting up the actual job was super easy/​straight forward.
Fast forward to the day of the job: Boom. Done. Leo and crew don’t mess around. They were efficient, courteous and professional. They took down the tree, ground the stump and cleaned everything up and hauled it away. No trace. They even cleaned up both my neighbors’ yards.
This is how you run a business. Awesome job.

Precision Tree Care did an outstanding job of removing a large Ailanthus tree that was diseased in my rear parking lot of my commercial property. They were fast and cleaned up very well after they were done. I would recommend them highly!

I have to say I am not always the easiest customer, but with Precision Tree Care I found my Tree Services for Life ! Just had an extensive job done to our yard and requesting an estimate for some additional work. Ryan and his staff, from the office to his crew on site, are awesome. Extremely professional and knowledgeable, they are very honest in their estimates and gave us hands-​on piece of advice on how to treat some plants by ourselves… which says a lot on their dedication and passion for what they do. Needless to say, at this point, but just to mark my Ts, they showed up on time, cleaned up after they had finished, they were quick and thorough… they are my guys now (and gal at the office, thank you Patty !).

This company is awesome. Ryan and all his employees are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I had 2 huge eucalyptus trees that needed to be cut way back, thinned and shaped. Ryan came out and I rec’d a very reasonable quote. I called, talked to a real person, and set up an appointment. The workers were here before 8am and began working. They were VERY skilled and VERY polite. I need a pine trimmed in January and I’ll be calling precision. I would not hesitate to refer them to friends and family.

Precision Tree Care really saved me! I needed a large Wisteria taken out of my front yard ASAP because construction was about to start! They came right away and it looked like that bush never existed! My front yard was spotless as if they were never there! Great job! I will be calling them again!

Above and beyond! Leo and the rest of the team worked nonstop. To watch the guys dancing in the trees as they trimmed was nothing short of impressive. And, Ryan made certain everything was up to his standard and liking. I would recommend them to my friends and hire them again.

Ryan just came by and saved our kitty Binx from high up in our cypress tree! He had been there for days and we tried everything. Ryan came by, climbed the tree, and my cat was saved in less than ten minutes. On top of that, he did it free of charge. Just a nice guy doing a nice deed.

Precision Tree is awesome. I had 2 huge (100+ft) multi-​trunk eucalyptus trees wrapped in power lines that needed to be removed in Half Moon Bay. I called 5 different tree companies to get an estimate.
Ryan inspected the tree on the same day we called and gave us an estimate within 24 hours. Their customer service is superb and they were the most responsive out of the tree companies that we dealt with. Patty, the office manager, was awesome in coordinating with the utility company and the City.
Ryan and his crew got the trees cut down and hauled away within the timeframe that he told us. Everyone in the neighborhood is so happy that the trees are gone. Thanks for the great job Precision Tree!

Ryan came out to estimate the same day I called, an hour later the estimate email arrived, and within a week the job was complete.
My mature red maple suddenly appeared half dead, and the new growth was very spotty. The challenge was to save the shape of the tree while eliminating the dead branches, but not to prune too much in the summer/​growth season. I was reluctant to let so much of it go, so Ryan had his crew trim the tree gradually in order to ensure my satisfaction with every cut. Also they happily trimmed back some pittosporum from the roof line as a bonus. The price was quite fair. Ryan did not try to «upsell’ and talk me into more work, although obviously the others can definitely use pruning in the fall.
Ryan is friendly, very pleasant and knowledgeable, and the also-​pleasant crew cleaned up beautifully. I look forward to Precision returning in the fall/​winter to trim all the trees thoroughly.

Ryan’s team provided amazing service, and I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. I wish my other experiences with contractors came close to this.
This winter I got very concerned about a very neglected old eucalyptus behind our (new to us) house. I contacted several companies to provide a bid. Patty responded immediately, they came out same day, and then sent the estimate (including proof of insurance, bond and license) ASAP.
When it came time to do the job they were prompt, responsive, and helped us with everything from working with the school behind our house to coordinate efforts, to obtaining parking permits. They showed up early with a huge crew, and very efficiently completed the entire job (including cleanup) in about 4 hours. They cleaned up everything entirely, and did a fantastic job.
Unfortunately I don’t have any more trees to have them continually service, but I will happily recommend them to anyone I know.

Precision Tree Care does a great job. You can trust them to trim your trees so that they look fantastic. This is really important. No one wants to hire a company to trim their trees and then have them look chopped off for years until they regrow.
Recently, I decided to have a huge Eucalyptus removed because it was such a fire hazard. Precision Tree Care took care of this enormous job in just one day.

I had a pittosporum tree at the front of my house whose roots were endangering the plastic main gas line that runs to my house from the street. The crew that put in the gas line recommended that the tree be removed for safety purposes.
Precision Tree Care took care of the problem, removing the tree professionally, safely and at a fair price. I am delighted with Juan, the owner; with Patty, who coordinated everything; and with the three wonderful employees who removed the tree without harming a nearby car and without rupturing the gas line.
I give this great company my highest recommendation!

I have a tall palm that looked like it might be coming out of a planter box. I was worried about it but also worried that whoever I called for a free examination would tell me it had to come down. (Kind of like those free dentist cleanings where they always find some dental work…)
Someone recommended Precision Tree Care. Ryan came out, right on time. Took a look at my tree and gave me some feedback on how we could re-​do the planter box and that the tree didn’t need to be cut.
I was really happy to save the tree, but also really happy that Ryan gave me honest advice, even if it didn’t lead to any business. I even offered something for his time and he said no worries, as it was truly a free evaluation.

The Italian Pine our Father brought home in a bucket and planted in the backyard in 1935 when he was a little boy, split in two yesterday and the right side came crashing down in the neighbor’s yard. This tree was over 40 feet high and 8 feet round — a massive «Golden Gate Park» kinda tree, nestled in the middle of a backyard in Noe Valley. Precision Tree Care came to our rescue.
We liked Ryan’s style immediately and, despite our dreams of being able to salvage the remaining portion of the tree that was still standing, he was quick to warn us that it, too, was in danger of falling (and onto the house no less): «You don’t need to hire us to take down this tree but I’m telling you, you need to hire someone to take it down and the sooner the better.» While I appreciated his honesty, I truly appreciated that their bid was the most competitive (did I mention this was a HUGE ass tree?)
They were there the very next morning at 7:30 a.m. and worked through 6 p.m. cutting, chipping and hauling away our much loved pine. Amid the many neighbors peering over their fences to lament over the loss of this beautiful tree (yet thrilled that their yards would now have full sun!), Precision Tree Care cleaned up every pine cone and pine needle in sight and left both our yard and our neighbor’s yard clean. Without hesitation, I can HIGHLY recommend Precision Tree Care. They actually made a rather sad situation (this tree was part of our Father’s legacy — we can still hear him telling us about planting it — and then bitching about the millions of pine needles all over the yard) as painless as possible.
