Organized by Pacific Coast Trails Runs I did this event with a couple of my Tough Mudder Team mates. The intent was to take a slow and steady 10min mile pace, well that didn’t happen. First real Run since I jacked my Knee up last August and it felt good to be back! I even beat the course record. wooohoo! + Easy sign up. + Beautiful course. Lot’s of inclines = Love. Also lot’s of declines = Boo. + Multiple distances to choose from: 10k, 21k, 30k, 50k. + Not only medals for all finishers but special medals for top 3 Males and Females as well as Ribbons for top 3 Males and Females in each age group. Bonus ”prize” for anybody who beat the course directors time. + Great selection of post race refreshments — 3 types of Fruit, Waffles, Egg Burrito’s, Cliff Bars and around a dozen different chocolate, cookies and trail mix snacks along with Beer and power drinks. + Good quality T-Shirts for those that choose to get one. — Slightly disorganized in terms of the start of the course not being clear. — 10k turned out to be 9k. — 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each age group was not announced, you had to find out for yourself and request your ribbon. It took a friend to remind me to go claim mine otherwise I would have left without it. I had a great time Running this event, definitely one of the better events I have done and one I look forward to doing again.
