Carmen N.

Business Owner

Carmen holds a Masters Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She is California Board certified as a licensed acupuncturist. In addition to her private Pacific Palisades acupuncture practice, Carmen is passionate about her work at Milestones Ranch in Malibu, one of the premier residential treatment centers in the country.

Carmen is a native to Los Angeles. She is committed to helping you find balance in your mind, body and soul.

In Carmen’s years of studying Chinese Medicine and various healing modalities, and through her own life’s journey, she found a hybrid approach of meshing the worlds of spirituality and acupuncture in a way that addresses the issues that so many of us face today.

Carmen’s unique approach incorporates years of knowledge combined with what works for your lifestyle. Her philosophy of making small, gradual changes is what leads to permanent success.

Carmen is wonderful! She has a kind, gentle touch. She listens to everything I had to say and gave me her undivided attention. She is the most unique acupuncturist I have ever met. I have been to 4 other acupuncturist and my appointment with Carmen was by far the most healing. In addition to her incredible insight about healing the physical and emotional body, she made me feel so comfortable and safe during the treatment. She placed a delicious lavender weighted eye mask and shaman rocks in my hands to help me feel grounded during the session while I laid on the table during my treatment. I felt the energy flowing through my body. She really does think of every detail. I was surprised to find the warm luxury comfort of her heated table when I climbed up for her to work on my body. I have noticed a change in my energy and health since seeing her only once and plan to return at least monthly to sustain my health.

I had not received acupuncture for a good year, and last week, I had my first 5 Element Acupuncture session with Carmen! All I can say… it was an amazing experience! My first session was met with a compassionate heart and a true listener. I was put at ease immediately. =)
The session itself was painless. And… I left revitalized, centered, and more strengthened in myself and where I wanted to take my life. Acupuncture rocks… and when it addresses my emotional growth… Carmen is the one to go to.

I’ve been to a number of acupuncturists before but what makes Carmen stand out is the warmth and compassion she brings to her practice. She is a healer who is truly interested not only in the treatment of your physical body but your spiritual, mental and emotional body as well. Just being in the same room with her is uplifting; she has a calming presence that lets you know immediately that you are in good hands. Whether she’s treating me for a headache or a frown line (her expertise covers cosmetic acupuncture, infertility and stopping smoking as well as more common maladies), she is always thorough, kind, gentle and interested in what is going on in your life and how it is affecting you and I always leave her office feeling balanced, energized and optomistic and really, does it get any better than that?

Carmen has been treating me for a few weeks now, and I can’t stress enough how wonderful she is. She is very knowledgeable, compassionate, kind, funny… Yes, I’m a fan — I can go on and on. She has not only helped me relieve migraines and chronic back pain, but has also assisted me with a little will power here and there (we all need a little help sometimes :)). I highly recommend her if you’re in need of a great acupuncturist.
