The Grateful Bread is an amazing local restaurant! They catered our wedding for us and were extremely easy to work with and very accommodating to meet our wants and needs. Both Robyn and Aurelian were great to work with and really cared that we were happy with the menu. On the night of our wedding everything was flawless, the food, the staff and the flowers! People are still raving about the food and many made sure to have breakfast or lunch here throughout the weekend of our wedding.

Ok so let me start out with I’m a experienced fine dining Chef of over 16 years in the biss. I eat here frequently and love there breakfast and lunch. So naturally when I herd they were opening for dinner I was exited to try it. Our server told us the specials one of which was«meat balls with marinara and linguini». No mention of spicy. My wife and I both ordered the special. When we got our food the marinara had the consistence of water not a thick hardy sauce as it should be. The plate was garnished with sriracha hot sauce. I took my first bite and all I could taste was watered down Sriracha. Being that I have acid reflux disease this instantly caused me pain. When my server came to see how I was doing I explained my and my wife’s discontentment with our meal. He asked if we would like to send it back or have something else. I politely declined(as I and anyone in the business knows better). When it came time to pay they wanted me to pay for one of the entrees. I told him we both ate one meatball and that we would pay for our app’s and drinks but we didn’t want to pay for the entrees we didn’t enjoy or eat. At this point the Chef came out of the kitchen with a not so happy look on his face and asked if there was a problem. Not wanting to cause a seen or embarrass him I just looked him in the eye and told him no. Our server was vary polite and did his job well. I left him a 25% tip and left. I hope this is not a new pattern forming at a restaurant that I used to enjoy. Maybe next time things will be different.

We had a wonderful dinner, we all had the pest Parmesan encrusted fish special. It was beautiful and tasty. I went for the wild rice accompaniment and it was amazing. Excellent texture and taste. Service was great too. We also bought cookies to take home — boy were we glad. AND we ordered a chocolate layer cake for a birthday celebration in a word — wow. I can’t wait to return

Truly the best breakfast I’ve had in years! The Shakedown Street was perfect. The biscuits were light, fluffy, and anything but dry. And the potatoes were nice and crispy and perfectly seasoned. My coffee cup was always full– the staff was very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere! I’ll be back any time I’m on the Oregon coast!

Homey and friendly with exceptionally good breakfast. The biscuits are divine! They also have many flavors of scones. No doughnuts though, kinda sad about that.

My boyfriend and I took a little hiatus to Pacific City and he found this cute little place! The portions are absolutely fantastic(even my granola bowl was filling — couldn’t even finish it!) The staff was phenomenal and it was the most perfect way to end our vacation! Will most definitely be back in the future!

Really wonderful food, lots of healthy options and great service. Yummmm! I wasn’t expecting to find this quality of food in such a small town. Drawbacks: they only offer scrambled eggs(I like mine sunny side up), and they have roasted potatoes but no hash browns. I love the breakfast bowl with eggs and asparagus and the ginger bread pancake is amazing! I’ll be coming back.

Absolutely wonderful place. We came here three mornings in a row while staying in Pacific City. Food was great every time and the prices are very very reasonable. One of the best things about the place was the staff. They were always friendly, everyday(even when our 3-year old accidentally knocked his hot chocolate off the table the first day). Maybe a place just attracts nice employees when the uniform includes a tie-dye shirt — regardless, it was wonderful to start each morning like that. Food is great, too! By far — best place we went to in this beautiful coastal haven. One last thing, the place is clean and comfortable. Great job Grateful Bread!

Great place — friendly staff, the sun room is bright and airy — and great fresh food, omelets are big and full of great ingredients, all the bread is made in house! Came here with my family — we’ve been to Pacific City a number of times — but never stopped in this local gem before. Killer Challah French toast(airy, perfect crust and a little eggy) to quote my picky daughter«omg this is soooooo good». The portions are really big, you won’t leave hungry — if you’re in Pacific City be sure to come by to get some baked goodness or have a meal.

Dropped in for breakfast. I had a special greek scramble that was very tasty. Special coffee drinks were great. Been here before and even as busy as it gets they seem to get you in and out. Our server Sue was spot on and friendly. Don’t forget to pickup a loaf of their bread. Bread is very good.

The fresh baked bread with Jalapeño and cheese and was incredibly soft and light. We bought one loaf then turned the car around after five minutes to go back and buy two more. Breakfast dishes were ample and a good value. We enjoyed the pepper scramble and French Toast. Biscuits were better than average. Cappuccino tasted off like from a machine. Very friendly staff.

Not that great. The soup tasted funny and was kind of cold. It was my first time eating there so it might have been a bad day but who knows. The woman working there who took my order was snippy and not very polite. I was also told that I wasn’t allowed to sit at a dining table while waiting for my to go order. I was told that the table was reserved for customers ordering their food for here. The restaurant was empty and there were no other customers. Not impressed.

Perfect! We loved our breakfasts here. Good food, very nice and helpful staff. The fresh baked biscuits are to die for! Besides the meal food, they have a variety of baked goods, including some delicious scone flavor combinations. If you are in Pacific City, or Cape Kiwanda, or Cloverdale, or within a 50 mile radius of this place… make a point to stop and eat!

Sometimes you just don’t know with Unilocal. We passed a perfectly nice looking restaurant on the beach and I told my boyfriend to keep driving until we found this place. Thank goodness we did!!! The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was nice, but the food was AWESOME!!! I got the«veg out» omelette with ham and a white chocolate mocha. My boyfriend got a cup of the Tillamook cheddar and corn chowder and the special: a smoked turkey pesto sandwich. They were all to die for! Great big portions and so delicious we both scraped our plates! This place is DELICIOUS!!! The Unilocalers definitely picked a winner here if you’re in the area you should definitely stop by! HIGHLY recommended!

I love oysters but the scramble was a lil runny and fishy tasting :/ Was won over by my gluten free scone on the side.

Ok, so I was in need of some good morning baked goods, and from the reviews thought this would be the place to go. I picked out a savory scone that bacon and cheddar $ 2.50, a marionberry scone also $ 2.50 and a cinnamon roll at $ 2.75. The cashier charged me $ 11.25. Now I might not be a math wiz but last time I checked the total should have only come to $ 7.75. When I pointed this out to the cashier she assured me that she had rung me up correctly. I continued to state that was not the right total, but I was in a hurry so I just paid the $ 11.25. The bacon cheddar scone was amazing. The marionberry was also good. The cinnamon roll was disappointing, not a fan of raisins. Overall it was a decent place to get a quick breakfast to-go but make sure you check the total on your bill.

Wonderful breakfast experience at the Pacific City, OR gem. The smoke salmon omelette was just filled with salmon smoked by the Grateful Chefs! Very friendly staff that added to the experience. Timely service with all plates of our party belonging to the«clean plate club». Bake goods made from scratch at the restaurant. ENJOY!

Excellent breakfast/lunch option in Pacific City. Upon entry, the wafts of bakery smells will up your hunger. This busy café offers delicious baked goods and espresso to go, or diners can stay and enjoy hearty breakfast and lunch items like scrambles, pancakes, sandwiches, salads, wraps, soup and more. I have tried and loved their biscuits & gravy, hang town fry with local oysters, turkey dip sandwich on house-made baguette, and the delicious breakfast dish Gallo Pico with seasoned rice and beans topped with scrambled eggs, salsa, sour cream and corn tortillas. There are several vegetarian options and a couple for vegans. I’m not sure if they offer eggs cooked any way other than scrambled, but have not asked. Service is prompt and friendly, coffee is refilled often, and the warm noisy atmosphere is comfortable and great for families.
