Can’t say enough about this place! I brought my Mercedes AMG to Dex’s for what I thought would be a costly camber replacement based on information from a wheel specialist that the camber was damaged and would not align properly. Dex did an inspection of the front end and not only found no damage but made sure it was aligned properly and according to specs. I found the owner Dex to be a delightful, knowledgeable, honest and caring individual. Highly recommend this repair shop!

I was recommended this shop by a friend and have been hot and cold with them ever since. There was an instance my first time where they tried to charge me for a battery i didn’t need. We ended up in a disagreement, but regardless, they got their money. Later on i got a new, easier car to work on so i continued service there as it was close to work. They were really great, did effective work and did not bullshit me. Finally this summer i bought yet a new car, and brought it to them to inspect since i had been doing decent business with them, I even drove from Sacramento. Well they ended up charging me $ 80.00 for a safety inspection… told me problems that were incorrect as reviewed by two other mechanics and my common sense, and did not find the answer to the original problem i had asked about in the first place (my entire engine vibrating=motor mounts). Said they would call back with a quote to the lesser problems, never did. It’s cool guess they didn’t want my business anyways, enjoy your 80 bucks for doing nothing. and couple grand for doing something.

After calling Dex’s Automotive in a serious predicament, I was blown away by their assistance, hospitality, and genuine interest in my problem. The owner drove over to my broken down car, made a minor adjustment and was able to get my car back to his shop without a tow.
The part that I bought from a local shop wasn’t working and I had to go back for a trade-​in. Dex drove over to the shop to make sure they refunded my money and was very supportive through the entire process. He even kept his doors opened, beyond normal hours, in order to fix my vehicle so that I would have it for my trip, he even offered to come in Saturday morning to complete the repair.
I rate Dex’s service, staff, and facility a top 5 for their attitude, concern, and genuine interest in their customers.

First time I brought my car in the work they did was fine. No loaner car available but didn’t charge me an arm and a leg.
The second time I brought it in they kept for 6 days, over a weekend. Seemed to not really be interested in working on it. Claimed they were missing tools or what have you. The car went in with 1 cracked spark plug and cracked spark plug cable so they covered them with a rubber sheathing and zip ties. I was fed up after 6 days of no car and no loaner and it was beginning to cause problems getting to work. I took the car to dealership who provided a loaner car and fix the problem and the two others caused by over-​torqued spark plugs. The dealership laughed at «repairing» spark plug cables instead of replacing them. They also found mis-​matched spark plugs installed. I asked for all the parts back so I can inspect and sure enough, some unacceptable workmanship.
Suffice to say, I won’t be bringing my car back to Dex’s. If you want inexpensive service with an inexpensive price, go with Dex. If you want quality car care service go somewhere else.

I’ve been going to Dex for a few years now, since 2007, and he’s been the only mechanic I’ve trusted to give me the low down on what issues my car has had. I’ve never had any problems with customer service or the quality of repairs. He gives you a list of upcoming issues your car may have and at what point on a scale from good to bad they’re currently at. His employees are great too! Susie always offers to pick me up or drop me off when I have no other means of transportation while my car is being serviced. I highly recommend them!

I had a problem getting my car smog certificate at another center and was really concerned that I was going to have to make a major car repair to pass the emission test of the smog check station. This auto repair center had taken the vehicle to another station and it passed and turns out I did not have to replace major car parts like I might have with the other garages. They gave me a ride to and from my residence and the service was really quick. I had my car back in less than a day. If it was not for this auto repair, I would have had to make unnecessary and costly repairs to pass the smog check. The dealer where I purchased my vehicle was going to charge me a lot more than I actually paid. The mechanics here will fix what is really in need of repair. I highly recommend this garage as a fair price and great auto repair shop.

Dexter has been my only «Go to» guy since 1983, keeping my Ford trucks, Ford vans, Nissan Sentra, Datsun 510 wagon, Toyota truck, Honda Civic and Honda Pilot running in tip top shape.
I wished he worked on Harley’s. .. I have two he could maintain for me.
Dexter is really good at the «hard –to– figure-​out» problems without charging me an arm and a leg. He’s very honest and will tell you the good, bad and ugly with your car or truck.
On a scale of 5 stars, I’d give him at least 10. I’m really picky and Dexter always exceeds my expectations.

Dex’s Automotive is the best auto repair and service business I have ever used. The quality is always top notch and the prices more than fair. In addition to hourly rates that are much less than the auto dealers, they don’t charge for more time than the work actually takes. I have used them for my BMWs and paid between 20% and 30% of what BMW wanted to charge. Some of the difference is because BMW wanted to do more than was necessary to fix the problem.
Dexter and his folks are honest, competent and very service oriented.

Great people and service. Their prices were great, I did lots of research before choosing a place. The car starts and runs better. I will be getting those tires replaced soon. Thank you!

Dex’s is always honest and always helpful. My Mom and Dad recommended this shop and I have been bringing my car here ever since. They are honest here and will only recommend work that needs to be done. It is very rare that you come pick up your car and it costs less than you thought it would. Thank you Dex.
