Ordered 3 empanadas and a chicken taco. Didn’t like the taco as it only had cilantro. No sour cream, salsa, lettuce or tomato. Wouldn’t order again but the empanadas were good and a decent size. I got the cheese, the beef and cheese and the guava and cheese. Loved the guava the best and it was very filling. The food did take a while to come out but otherwise, the empanadas were good and I would return for those.

Empanadas(shrimp, dulce de leche, and chicken) and the stew chicken with yellow rice and black beans were awesome. Everything is seasoned well and very flavorful. Since I was very content with my first visit I will definitely be coming back soon. They are a little pricier than most Spanish places in the area but the quality and flavor is up to par.

Was very excited about trying this place with the wife, and god knows she enjoys empanadas! So after she insisted that we finally check it out, we walked in and looked at the menu at the counter. While waiting, we saw the woman just behind the cashier making the emapadas by hand. Good sign. But then we noticed that she was also holding her cell phone and talking while she was making them. I’m no scientist, but I know some of the places my own phone has gotten into. The thought of handling a cell phone and then preparing food without washing her hands was enough to make us walk out of the place. When my wife told the cashier why we were leaving, she simply said«I understand.» But made no attempt to do anything about it. I have to say, the food looked good, but unfortunately we’ll never know.

I was pleasantly surprised when Viva Mis Empanadas opened up a few blocks away from my house. I am a big fan of Mama’s Empanadas and expected Viva Mis to be similar Viva Mis Empanadas is the store location of the small stand further down in Crossbay Blvd in Howard Beach. I had ate there before so I knew the food was up to par. I went there with my boyfriend and we had an Empanada feast. We tried one of each and used the dipping sauces. We also had a salad and rice and beans which were delicious. Viva Mis sells more than just empanadas, I have yet to try the rest of their offerings but with great food and being in such close proximity I will definitely be back.

We order lunch from here once a week at my job. Always good food and delivered hot. My one and only complaint is the interior décor. The floor tiles are older than me and the walls are 4 different colors. Not very inviting. But don’t let that stop you from trying the amazing food!

I’m from the neighborhood and it’s was honestly like this place sprung up over night, I’ve turned many people onto this place and never had a complaint, I have had about 80 percent of the menu, and have never been dissapointed, wich is truthfully rare, the enchaladas are the best I’ve come across so far, the food is always the same portion and quality everytime I have eaten here.

Everything I have tried so far has been good, even things I would not normally like. Love this place. Affordable, fast, pretty hostess, clean place, great tasting food, the only thing keeping it from 5 stars is paying extra money if you want hot sauce.

The food is always really good. Takes a little while but worth the wait. Biggest issue is calling this business. The people on the phone are infuriating.

Service: Fast, but needs to be more friendly. Décor: Bad. They need to pick one color for there walls, the floor is not even, tables are also uneven. Food: Empanadas are not the best. Too much cheese. Beef wasn’t good. Love the crunchy. price: Cheap. Our meal was $ 12.00 and ergot full Not sure if I would come back.

The food is good but the rice is always under cooked and VERY dry. They ALWAYS get my order wrong too.

Tasty empanada spot to satisfy your empanada addiction. Their chicken and beef empanadas are good, but their dessert empanadas are excellent! Dulce de leche empanadas are delicious and filling, and way better than those at Mama’s Empanadas. We also tried their burritos, which are pretty good. Service is friendly, but kinda slow, so keep that in mind in case you’re in a rush. Otherwise definitely stop here!

Found this place on an accident. Going to my favorite Chinese place I noticed this place just opened up! Mamas empanadas is now a chain and lacks any originality! This place puts them to shame and they make everything to order! You know it’s good when they sell out everyday! Do not pass this place up! It’s outstanding, food wise and even better customer service! I will be back soon!

I’ve always loved their food. We always get pernil(roast pork) that is amazing, the rice is amazing, and the empanadas are amazing. Never a disappointment!

A must go. Very fresh and you do wait for your meal, only because it’s fresh. Bring the family.

We stopped here around noon on a Saturday and the service was prompt and friendly. The first thing we noticed was how good it smelled, our mouths were watering the moment we walked in the door. We were only in for a snack this time around and decided to try the businesses namesake, the empanadas. The empanadas are perfection in a wonderfully crispy shell, my fiancé described hers as having a molten pool of delicious cheese inside. Next time we are in the area we will stay for a full meal, but based on our first experience we have high hopes! If you’re near here, definitely stop in, even if just for a snack to try their empanadas like we did. The prices can’t be beat and with the combination of good service and awesome food, it’s a no brainier.

I need to come here at least once a week. Good food does take time, so have some patience. Ever since they moved from Howard Beach, their menu has expanded and now includes Mexican food. I love their cheese enchilada. Their mole sauce has some kick, so make sure you have some water, because your mouth will be on fire! The people are nice, the service is good, and the prices are decent, since you get your money’s worth!

I live next door to this place, only place to get Spanish food in the area, probably some of the best I’ve had. You have to go in and try their empanadas!
