I just picked up my car and was astounded at the quality of work that was done on my car. The professionalism and true class act started when I dropped of my car. Everyone greets you, and takes care of you immediately. You could tell from the office that they have an extremely professional system and everyone works very closely together. I had the sincere pleasure of working with Frank and Jimmy and they both ensured that my car would get repaired, took care of all insurance paperwork and follow up, set me up with a rental car through my insurance company. They have a Hertz on the premises and Andrew, the Hertz representative made the renting process easy and convenient. This accident was a terrible thing that happened but Sonny’s Collision Specialists took care of me from the beginning to the end updating me with the progress and turned an awful situation into an incredibly pleasant experience. I never worried once at all. I left their facility today in a great mood when I saw my car… they installed brand new parts, never refurbished, they detailed my car and made a 2009 SUV look like a 2016 brand new SUV. The quality of the repairs done was outstanding. You could never tell anything had happened. Jimmy and Frank invested so much time in making sure I was happy and I truly was.
They care about their customers, they take great pride in the quality of their work and customer service. They have thought about everything their customer could possibly need to make their experience the best and they have succeeded. I have had my car repaired here a few times and the experience has always been the best and it keeps getting better. I live in NJ and drove 1.5 hours to this shop because they are worth it a thousand times over and I wouldn’t imagine ever going anywhere else or allowing anyone I care about to go anywhere else.

They treat you like family. Frank answered all my questions on the phone thoroughly and patiently. When I brought my car in, they took care of me with a complimentary rental car. After they replaced my grill and repainted my front bumper, it looked brand new! And they even washed my car and detailed the interior. After a few weeks, I noticed moisture building up in one of the headlamps. Called Frank and he took care of me again. The part was cleared with my insurance, ordered ahead of time, went in and it was fixed in 1 ½ hours. This is what I call white glove service. Ask for Frank when you call. He is one of the nicest caring professional and knowledgeable auto repair consultants I’ve ever met. Jimmy who runs the shop is also the same way. No wonder they do such a good job — there’s really good management who understand how to deliver high quality work while focusing on customer service. Will recommend to all family and friends without hesitation. Keep it up guys!

Wonderful service. I drove in with a burnt out headlight and no appointment and they took care of me immediately. They were kind and efficient, and I would absolutely recommend coming here!

When I cracked my bumper, I brought it to Sonny’s last month. Dominic promptly assessed the situation and gave an honest opinion on how to proceed. The Team at Sonny’s then helped coordinate the entire repair process — from car pick drop off and pick up, and dealt with the insurance company, all while giving me guidance on what to do. Their dedication to outstanding service ensured that the situation was dealt with as soon as possible, and my car was returned to me in perfect condition. It’s hard to imagine a better experience and better team than that of Sonny’s. Thanks, guys, especially Dominic and Jimmy.

Stay far away from this place. Will talk a good game but once the check is cut you don’t matter anymore. Very sloppy poor work. They broke numerous parts on my car. Water in my tail lights. Flooded trunk. Paint had many imperfections. They told me to bring the car back the following week to repair the damages they caused and to repaint the shotty paint job. The night before my car was to return to the shop it was parked down the block from my house and it was completely keyed at a near total loss. I highly suspect Sonny’s was involved. Very suspicious. So instead of repainting the car under warranty they billed the insurance. They will trick you into thinking they did u a favor by giving you something in my case 2 tires to show good character don’t be fooled. I was quoted 3000 – 4000 from top shops to paint the whole car. They billed my insurance near 13k then after it was mysteriously keyed they charged my insurance another 12k. 25k for a paint job. My insurance rate sky rocketed and I’m lucky I wasn’t dropped. Jimmy had the nerve to say he came out if pocket to give me 2 new tires that he deemed I needed. These guys are crooks in every way. I wish I would have known this b4. They have numerous fake reviews. I can’t stress it enough this place is scary scary scary. True crooks at work. They never meet their deadline my car was there for 3 months. They cover your rental as a claimed courtesy. Courtesy they rape the insurance companies so they use your money and take the credit. They encourage insurance fraud as well. Man I regret bringing my car to this place. Dominick is the rudest. Jimmy is a hustler. Don’t do it to yourself. I read all the good things people posted and was fooled by fake reviews. How hard is it to fake a review. Exactly. When u consider reviews. Always look at the negatives. The positives are 9 out of 10 times a marketing scheme. I like Unilocal a lot but why force me to give a 1 star rating. Its time for a thumps down option.

I read all the positive reviews on Unilocal and that’s how I found Sonny’s. Well, they were outstanding, they detailed the car where it looked so good people didn’t believe it’s the same car! Their CUSTOMER SERVICE was basically so good it almost seemed like they were all TRAINED in both auto body repair and customer service. I also had a long wait but for me it was worth it! They really go out of they way to casually do what a lot of businesses in general have forgotten about, good customer service and work combined. Bottom line is, it was a completely positive and professional experience going there and I highly recommend it god forbid you or someone you know is in an accident.

They’re true gentlemen and professionals. They did great body work on my car and handled everything from filing the claim to getting me a rental; they even put some gas in my car since it was low when I initially dropped it off. I’m extremely pleased with them and recommend their service.

Really disappointed with my experience at Sonny’s. When I made the mistake of pulling into their driveway, one of the guys gave me a nasty look and raised his hand as if to say «what the…» After he told me to park the car on the street, he disappeared. I had to go into the office to ask someone to look at my car. When I walked in, they looked at me like I had three heads. One guy begrudgingly volunteered to look at my car.
I had some front end damage on my older, (paid-​for) car and because I wasn’t going through insurance they didn’t even want to bother with it. Told me it would cost «thousands» and wasn’t worth the money to even triage the damage. I was particularly worried about the headlight which was broken. The guy told me as long as the light worked I wouldn’t get a ticket. So, that’s where they left it.
On a recommendation I went to another shop in Jamaica («All-​in-​All Right”-Google them) and they did an awesome, totally affordable job! Glad I didn’t stop because of what I was told at Sonny’s. These other guys not only introduced themselves to me and shook my hand, they seemed very interested in keeping a healthy business reputation. They fixed the headlight, which was shattered and straightened it out so it sat right. Without my asking, they also cleaned the non-​damaged headlight. They generally smoothed the appearance of the front end damage, reattached my medallion and fixed my license plate holder. They’re not on Unilocal.Without my friend’s help, I wouldn’t have found them.
Bottom line: I wouldn’t recommend anyone go to Sonny’s. They’re rude and not at all helpful.

Best shop in NYC. Jimmy, Bobby and Dominic are awesome. Beautiful work and a pleasure to meet. I can’t say enough.

I got into an accident and the staff at Sonny’s assisted me from beginning to end. To be honest– I literally did nothing, they took care of everything. I was a little skeptical at first because I’ve never had auto repairs done with them in the past and lets be honest, how many collision shops show up to the scene of an accident and can actually deliver?!! THESE GUYS ARE THE REAL DEAL. They took care of everything and did a fantastic job, my car looks brand new. The level of customer service at this shop is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. They called me twice after I picked up my car to make sure everything was ok. I would HIGHLY recommend Sonny’s to anyone.

I was refered to Sonny’s by an associate of mine about 5 years ago. At the time he told me unless he was too far for a tow, he wouldn’t ever go anywhere else. I took my Mothers car there after it was vandalized. Jimmy and Dom immediately made it easy to see how anyone would exclusively use Sonny’s for all their auto body needs. Everyone was super professional and courteous, not the fake kind, the kind that makes you feel right at home. Their work sealed the deal. They did an amazing job on moms beamer and treated her like family. They have since worked on my Camaro ZL1 and their work is TOP NOTCH!!! Now I say to you, unless I am too far for a tow, I wouldn’t even think for a split second of going anywhere else for all my auto body needs!!! Their like family…

i have been going to sonny’s for about ⁶⁄₇ years now, 4 different cars & must say that they have always remained consistent with amazing customer service and even betterwork! everyone treats me with kid gloves & when jimmy says he got me i believe him!
this last time i found my rear car window shattered… i believe it was an accident, a rock or something so i was about to pay out of pocket in order to avoid making a report on my insurance, of course jimmy quickly gave me my options and assured me that since the car was parked this would be considered a comprehensive, non-​surchargeable claim & sure enough they had me in and out the same day with a new, functioning glass covered by my insurance with no issues!

Had a rear window and replaced. The bad part was waiting for the window to arrive from the dealer. It took three business days to arrive at the shop. Zero stars for them. But I give Sonny’s five because of the great detail they took in making sure there was no loose glass in the door panel. It was a pleasure doing business with them and I got a good price I highly recommend these guys.

This place is a total scam. Beware of deceitful practices. My car was here for 16 days absolutely nothing was done to it, then rendered a loss by the insurance company.
Now they issued an $ 1800.00 storage bill and collected the money from my insurance company and released my car to a third party towing company. They had assured me that my car was going to be held until i pick it up with no charges incurred. Now this towing company totally messed up my car even further with massive scratches and started to loosen up all the screws to my aftermarket stereo as if it was going to taken out. I am still waiting for the shops pictures which apparently were going to be sent to me the next day after being towed and still nowhere to be found.
I really want to thank them for all my inconveniences. Just a nice way to welcome a Florida resident to NYC !!

Just dropped my car here to fix extensive scratch damage on one side of my car. This place is the definition of customer service. I’ve been hesitant about getting it fixed since there are alot of shady places giving shady deals. Don’t want to get screwed over.
Frankie helped me out today & I’ve never met a more courteous polite person. Dominic too. Even carried my bags of stuff that I couldnt leave in the car & got me a ride back to brooklyn. They remind me if my mom’s old mechanic, Lou, who took excellent care of our old Lexus for 15 yrs. I thought Id never see the likes of ppl like Lou again. They’ve made me feel confident that I made the right choice bringing my car here. In 2 weeks I’ll update my review when the job is done; right now I feel pretty good that I’ll be just as satisfied as I am now, if not more. For now, 5 stars!
UPDATE: 4÷03÷2015. Surpassed my expectations. My car looks brand new. Better than when I first got it. I couldn’t be happier. These guys are AMAZING!

Another FANTASTIC job from Sonny’s. Dealing with Jimmy, Bobby and Dominic is a pleasure. Every single person who works there is courteous and considerate. You have absolutely no thinking to do — they take care of everything and do an unbelievable job. They take pride in their work and it shows.

I went here for a simple auto inspection for GEICO insurance. I called the night before & was informed to just drop in. I understand that there isnt much to this process. However, every person I dealt with was so kind & professional! The think that impressed me the most was everyone that walked through the door was treated the same! On top of this the whole establishment was immaculate, even the bathroom! It had just recently snowed as well… But from the inside there was very minor evidence of the recent bad weather. I was able to take a look around while I was enjoying a «hospitality» beverage. They even dropped a fresh pot of coffee because it was down to ¼ of the pot! Hopefully I will never need them in another capacity but if the situation did arise I wouldn’t think twice about driving all the way in from Long Island to have this establishment perform work to my vehicle.

This place is the real deal. Their work is excellent and even more important to me is their A+ customer service.
I walked in off the street after someone rear ended me. I gave them all of my info and the other drivers insurance info, after being escorted to a fabulous conference room table and offered a plethora of beverages. I went home to rest and a few hours later they called me with a claim number and told me I could drop off my car and pick up a rental. I literally did not have to lift a finger. Sonnys did all of the leg work. They were super efficient and are about their business. And the car came out great, they even detailed it and left a gang of promotional goodies in the car.
Don’t even bother looking for a better place, this is it!

Today I’m providing an update to my initial review, about 2 months ago my car was once again hit by an uninsured driver. damaged my passenger side door and fender, decided to bring it to Sonny’s again. They didn’t disappoint me at all, the guys did a very good job repairing the car, plus the rear bumper scratch that i mentioned in the previous review and there was another small dent at the edge of my door that they took care of without charging me extra, thanks guys
I feel so comfortable doing business with these guys, i recommend them to everyone that wants to fix their car the right way. Thanks to Jimmy, Dominic and Bobby and everyone else that makes this establishment great!
