I came here to do my nails before my vacation, very disappointed!!! Not only that my nails didn’t last 2 days, yes 2! there were kids crying and running upstairs where the hair salon is … this place is totally run down, just one young lady doing nails. This was such a waste of my money and I had crappy nails thru out my vacation, all the tips fell off and chipped. my toes didnt last the day !!!

I go to this salon almost every other week for wash & sets then blowout with the hair dryer for my roots. That’s way better than getting a perm(which has damaged everyone’s hair(I’ve also never saw anyone getting a weave done here, everyone either has really healthy hair or long hair) but I think the price chart says its $ 70 but I’m not certain. There’s also a very friendly Indian woman here that does facials, henna, eyebrows and a few other things. My hair always turns, smells and feels flawless!

Don’t come here! The owner and main stylist is not only rude but not focused doesn’t listen to your requirements can’t style or color much less cut hair. As incompetent as they are they’re over priced. They can maybe at best give you a blow out but that’s a big maybe. Don’t waste your time or money!

I absolutely love this place! The girls are so nice and my hair always looks fabulous when I leave. I must agree with the previous customer, it is a little noisy but what«Dominican salon» isn’t? If you want a more upscale salon I suggest you go to the Upper East Side. I personally love that traditional«Dominican Salon» feeling. I recommend you try this beauty salon at least once. FYI: Pilar and July are the best at cutting hair if you want a stylish hair cut.

This is my first time in the salon for wash and set. The people on this Salon are alright. Some of them rude. There is an old, heavy, old lady that was giving some coffee and she did not even ask me if l waned. She only give to the people she knew there. It’s very loud. Let’s see how the blow dry goes

Yes there is kids running around, yes its noisy, yes its busy and crowded on a Saturday. So is EVERY dominican salon! Listen, you’re not gonna get luxury 5 star spa treatment but Julie and her Dominicans can do some hair! I went it for a cut and color and paid $ 85. I had a really bad experience at another salon on Jamaica Ave last summer and paid $ 200 more for a shitty job after spending 10 hours at the salon Julie got my color right and my cut right and did it in a timely manner. The only thing I wasn’t satisfied with was my blow out, she used the olive oil spray and I hated it. It weighed my hair down BUT I guess I should’ve told her not to use it. She also didn’t burn me. I was very pleased and will be back to do my roots :)

I would have to disagree with the last commentary. I found the owner who colored, cut and styled my hair to be excellent. She kept on checking on my color to make sure it was processing. The headwasher gave me a very good head massage as well. I only paid $ 50.00 for a hair cut, one process color and blow out. I would definitely recommend Julie the owner. The salon also does manicures and pedicures, and I plan to go back to try these services as well. I have tired many high end and moderate salons, and find Julie’s to be one of the best. I am very happy with her services.

This place is NOT good for hair color, If you want a good blow dry then I guess come here. As for hair color she barely washed my hair, and when she was coloring my hair she didn’t even try to be gentle just pulling my head back and forth I don’t understand why hair color was all over my forehead and down my neck where there was no hair. Water ran down my back and I was left with one small little towel the whole time. I didn’t even get my desired hair color she just told me how it will get lighter the more I come back. If you don’t speak spanish don’t expect much of good customer service, the woman whom did my hair was nice but was more in it for the money then my wants. I left with my hair smelling like the nasty hair color/bleach because they don’t wash hair good at alll. I don’t think I will ever go back unless I want JUST a blow dry, which I doubt because I flat iron my own hair. The place is unprofessional there is so much going on kids running around, loud talking over you and next to you… I’ve been to a salon in Far rock which was way more professional then this place atmosphere and everything. I really do regret going here :/I paid 100 dollars for her to BARELY color my hair, to get mediocre color I could have gotten from a box for 9.99
