Love this place! Great food, lots of tv’s for sports. We like to go there and watch the KC Chiefs and Royals beat anyone! Lol

We enjoy coming here but the last couple of times have not been impressed with the food. The quality is not what it seems to be in the Springfield locations. Their signature chicken sandwich was burnt and the piece of chicken was half the size of the bun. The turkey melt was a bit dry also this time. Fun atmosphere and we will be back for a drink sometime.

Went there on a Sunday with my wife to watch the Green Bay Packers game. Had TV’s with all of the games on, including ours. Ordered appetizers, entrees, and a good amount of beer while the game was on. Despite sitting there for nearly 4 hours, our waiter was constantly checking on us and taking care of what we needed. All the food was tasty and the beer cold. Overall a great experience! Will definitely return!

Living just a few minutes away, this has become a fairly frequent stop for my wife and I. I love their buffalo chicken dip. They really do a great job with it and it’s hard to eat there without getting it. I’ve tried quite a bit and haven’t necessarily found an entrée there I absolutely love, but I’ve like everything I’ve had, so that’s still good. I’ll continue my search of finding an item I can’t live without. Service is usually pretty good, and we always leave happy. Definitely worth checking out.

Stopped in for a lunch there on a weekend. When we arrived it was quite dead. We were sat in the dining room. I asked if they served there lunch menu on weekends and was responded to with a «Nope». Not«Sorry, but hey let me tell you about the specials we do have…» or something similar. They then proceeded to seat two large group tables with small children nearby. I don’t have anything against kids, but in my restaurant experience, that would have been the time to ask the two diners previously sat in a quiet area if they’d like to be moved to somewhere quieter. Needless to say, conversation became impossible. The waitress who brought the food was very friendly, and said she’d grab us plates for the appetizers, but then didn’t. We had to ask another person there. Our server only stopped back once the whole time. As for the food: The pretzel bites with queso were delicious. The wings were mediocre. The slider app has way too much bread for the burger slice it was served with. This is a very poor appetizer. I have been to the Big Whiskey’s in Springfield several times. I have been to the one in Ozark once before for a few drinks. It seems that this is the best situation to dine there. If one is seeking an actual dining experience I’d look elsewhere. I could have spent half as much and had a much better dining experience elsewhere.

I don’t know how this place has such good reviews. Here’s the things my father and I thought were wrong with the restaurant. The server didn’t know the difference between rare, medium rare and medium steaks. That by itself is OK– anybody can have a bad day or maybe it was his first day, who knows? However, it wasn’t confidence-inspiring. Tip for the management, drug test your employees– if it wasn’t his first day, it’s quite likely that our waiter was high. The meals arrived before the salad did. It was very weird. The salad was good but the chicken on it was also pre-packaged. It was Subway type chicken. The food is really manufactured and not fresh. I was very dismayed to discover one of the main sides was actually frozen vegetables exactly like you can get out of a bag… It tasted a little freezer burnt to me– and for a $ 20 menu item, I do expect to get some fresh veggies. I don’t think that’s unreasonable to ask either because frozen veggies lose a lot of flavor and texture. It was gross. If the manager is reading this, for god’s sake get fresh veggies. I was really looking forward to the veggies. The mashed potatoes were a dehydrated mix. A good mix, but real potatoes they were not. They did have good flavor. The steaks were okay. I thought mine was cooked just right, but the sizing was off. I ordered a 6oz, and got 4oz. My father ordered the 10 and got 12. The butter on top was good. Other annoyances– the drink menu has an impressive array of scotch and whiskeys, but no prices to be found anywhere on anything. If I order the delicious Highland Scotch, how much will I pay for it? Nobody knows? Maybe it’s a case of if you have to ask, you can’t afford it. My dad took a trip to the bathroom on the way out. No soap, wet paper towels, and an impressive looking cleaning chart on the door showing multiple times per day(with date codes) completely blank. Have they not cleaned the bathroom in several days? Or did they just not check the chart? That was really the last straw for him. He felt like nobody gave a rat’s ass about anything there. I was also kind of unamused at the posters on the walls– cheeky yes, but also hypocritical. If the theme of the place is beer and other vices, fine. I just didn’t like that a sign encouraged people(men) to cheat on their spouses and then another sign encouraged(men) to find an «honest woman.» Okay. I guess cheating is okay, as long as it’s not a woman cheating. I wouldn’t have an issue with it if it was advocating debauchery for all, but it wasn’t. Just outdated and alienating for a young woman to read. My dad loves scotch and whiskey and steak– he’ll never darken that door again, he said.

We love that Ozark has a place to get a great meal without going to Springfield. We have eaten here many times and the food and service has always been very very good.

Good food and great drinks! How can you not love a happy hour on Tuesday when kids eat free!? What a great marketing ploy. Food is always good here. Service is typically good here with the exception of when there’s something big going on and you don’t plan around it. Plus now we don’t have to drive to Springfield just to enjoy it! Side note: The children’s menu lacks healthy alternatives. We aren’t huge health freaks but don’t typically offer our children french fries being as there is very minimal nutritional value.

We went on steak night– $ 2 off any hand cut steak. I got s 6oz sirloin. It was cooked perfectly and delicious. Loaded smashed potatoes were good, I didn’t like the veggies. They were cooked with little onion bulbs of some kind that I didn’t care for. I tried the Tomato basil bisque– it was good but I think they forgot it for a while. It wasn’t very hot and the cheese sprinkled on top never melted, it was a glob. I tried my husband’s fries and they are good!

This is my first visit to Big Whisky and I was really only popping in to check it out. I had beer and chicken wings; the benchmark for all bars. Really let’s face it, if you aren’t going to drink something what’s the sense in being here? I’d say this is a good place to drink. They have about 100 televisions on the wall. My only complaint was that they were all on the SAME channel! I’ll be back to try a burger but it looks like a crowded and noisy place when it is happy hour. Nice seating the booths are upholstered with a sports car grade leather. It was a lot better than«Bucky’s bar b que» down the road.

This was a great stop. 59 whiskeys and 11 scotches. 20 different beers on tap. Food was very good too. We did find Casey and she was super friendly! She also was in a movie, ask her.

We’ve been here a few times hoping that the kinks are going to be worked out, but nomatter how good the front of house is, the food is still terrible. Bad flavor or no flavor at all. The strawberry hill salad is fail-proof, but anything I’ve tried beyond that has been bad. Hope they step their game up soon.

The place is clean and a nice big location but even with being open a few months there is still lots of kinks. One of our meals came out wrong twice with a wrong salad. Not sure if server or kitchen but they need to catch that. Potatoes were underdone for 2 out of 3 baked potatoes on the table. It was a busy night but the way for food was way too long over 40 minutes after ordering which is in my opinion at least 20 too long. I think would try one more time but was disappointed. Manager did not handle it that well saying he would take half of entrée off should of been whole thing. I hope they improve. Not as good as others in Springfield.

Good food. Servers are still working out the kinks. Maybe kitchen is just slow? Burgers, salads, and cold drinks.
