The Re-up

These barbers don’t even acknowledge the customers when they walk into the establishment.

Been in this shop numerous amounts of time. Love that i can go to any of the barbers and im always satisfied with my cut. They make me feel like im one of the guys just chopping it up with them. Great customer service! This is the spot!

Horrible. Decided to try this place for a design. I walked in twice trying to get service and NO ONE even responded to me. I don’t know what I expected from a place with this name. They purposely skipped over me while I was waiting. The only reason I came to this place was because it was near my home. I’d rather travel a bit further for some actual service. I honestly cannot believe how disrespected I was. They’re supposed to be running a business, but are running a clique.

I got a haircut there today. I’m visiting from DC and a guy at the hotel I am staying at, Courtyard by Marriott — Oxnard, recommended it. I walked in around 4 or 5 PM and didn’t have an appointment. I got lucky and the barber who has the last chair on the left said he’d take me — he was either just finishing his break or beginning his shift. Well, he did an awesome job. Without me saying a word, he went over some areas several times. It’s hard to do a proper fade. He obviously wanted to get it right. Although I doubt I’ll be back in the area, if I do and I need a haircut, I’ll definitely go back.

I was in the area and had some time to waste so I found the Re-​up on Unilocal and hit them up. When I got there the guys were all nice and they let me know ahead of time it might be a few minutes because they seemed busy. They got me seated after 15 minutes and gave me an awesome cut.
I didn’t mind the wait because I know how barbershops can get, some haircuts take longer than expected, but these guys gave me a proper heads up.
I gave the gentlemen cutting my hair (I forgot his name) quick instructions on how short I wanted my hair to be and he did an amazing job. Nice taper in the back and a clean razor blade finish. These guys definitely know what they’re doing.
All the barbers look like they like what they’re doing and the atmosphere is very laid back.
I will definitely go back for a cut.

Just called to ask how much they charge the person who answered the phone was rude and short. I’m not giving them my money.

My son calls for a appointment they tell him come in. 48 min later still waiting! They don’t know how to book appointments don’t make them. Will stick to going to So Cal Barbershop. You make a appointment they get you at that time.

Stopped by for an emergency haircut and got a quality haircut. I wasn’t there for hours like other shops. Thank you Alex!

Took my son in for a cut and design and he walked out a happy boy! Rolando did a Great Job! the design he did was awesome and my son has been telling all his friends about the Re-​Up! I agree the customer service is not great but it is a bunch of great Barbers doing there thing and maybe they are concentrating on giving a great cut! It definitely did not detour me I will be bringing my son back on a regular basis. If you haven’t tried them you should!

After my husband and 6 year old son kept getting so-​so cuts from other places, I decided to drag them into this place. We are hooked! Chris did an awesome cut on my husband and Brandon did a great job and was patient with my son. My boys were transformed 100%. Great convenient location. Minimal wait time for us as walk-​ins. I recommended this place immediately to my 4 brothers and any other man that would listen!

I went here the other day and my barber was literally checking his phone every 3 minutes. My haircut ended up being terrible. It was definitely not how I wanted it to look like. I’ve been to this establishment several times before and have received great haircuts in the past. I was very disappointed.

I went in there and got my hair cut by Chris .He is really professional and takes his time when he is hooking up the haircut. Highly recommended

Came here for a cut, walked in and no one greeted me and I waited and waited and waited and still was not acknowledged, guys went ahead of me and I was not told I needed an appointment. I’m a barber myself and I get it, but I don’t plan on going here again because their customer service sucks, start acknowledging your walk in clients.

Minus a barber almost running me over in the parking lot, and finding out that I should have never stopped by on a Sunday during football season when in a hurry, my kid’s barber did a decent job.
About 5 – 10 minutes in more customers came rolling in. I liked the atmosphere. I’d definitely bring my kid over again but have a different barber work on him.

Brandon just cut my three year old’s hair and he was very patient & did a very good job! Definitely coming back :) highly recommended

This is my regular place to go for haircuts and line ups (3 to 4 times a month), Brandon is my barber (Great Barber, dude is a genius too). Place is awesome, there is a small streetwear shop in there with known brands and rising brands, I have bought a 5 panel there and gotten a grip of compliments on it. Always dope music playing and a good variety. Just based on being there while getting cut up I can tell that everyone there is respectful and they put an effort in to keep the shop looking clean when they aren’t busy, and the people without appointments (aka idiots) cut up as soon as possible. Best times I’ve seen to go are anytime from like Tuesday to Thursday. If you want to get in on the weekend, just call like the day before and you’ll be set. If you are thinking about changing barbers, give this place a chance and you’ll be here for life.
Almost forgot about the best part of this shop. They accept debit and credit as payment! No other Barber Shop I have been to does this (except supercuts before I knew any better lol) and it used to be so annoying to have to drive to an ATM to get cash! You can leave a tip on your card as well. This kind of stuff (being able to use your card and not being charged) should be expected at ANY shop. But stuff like this is where the men are separated from the boys.

Already overdue for a haircut, and with my girlfriend coming home after 2 weeks overseas i was at defcon 5 and in dire need of immediate rescue. Complicating matters further, having recently moved I had nowhere to turn. Despite 100 degree heat and hot, dry winds I ignored the weather advisories and headed out. Driving slowly and desperately scanning the urban wilderness, I spied a hopefully familiar red and white striped insignia nestled in a strip mall about ½ mile south of the 101 at Oxnard Blvd.
Whether it was sheer luck, divine providence or some combination of both, we’ll never know, but when I entered The Re-​Up Barbershop and Streetwear Emporium, I knew I had found sweet salvation.
Unassuming from the outside, it was like stepping into a movie set. Part upscale lounge, part trendy posh shop and all full service haircut emporium.
What struck me most was how nice the place looked, soft black leather stylist chairs, richly polished wood floors and other complimentary décor. The three gentlemen on staff, like the store itself. were young, hip, stylish and friendly.
I was, in a matter of minutes, I was quickly and professionally transformed (from the ears up) from Albert Einstein to Tom Cruise. I literally walked out looking 100 times better than I did walking in!
Oh and did I mention guys, sports on TV!
If you live in, or are visiting the Oxnard-​Ventura-​Camarillo are, do yourself a favor and go to the Re-​Up Barbershop and Streetwear, you’ll be glad you did. See you there.
