Update: I wanted to add for fellow active duty military, this is a great alternative to the options on base. I’m not stationed in the area, but whenever I’m here visiting family I’ve been disappointed with my haircuts on base regardless of who I get. I’ve been coming to this area visiting relatives during the past 18 years I’ve been in the Marines and the haircuts have never been passable at best, wrecked and in need of fixing at worst.
The Barber Lounge gives haircuts that are within both Navy and Marine Corps regulation and are also attentive to style requests, which is something you’ll never find in the factory — the faster, the better — atmosphere. Highly recommended to my fellow Marines and Sailors.

First of let me start by saying I have a very picky and sensory sensitive kinda little guy for a son. This is our second time here and he has no complains. his haircut looks nice and very professional. Fernando does a great job! Being a bussy mom I like the fact that I can make an appointment by just texting and not worry about waiting alot. The barber shop looks clean and hygenic and I think all the TV’s keep costumers entertained. Thanks for the good service !

Got a haircut on a Sunday by James. There wasnt much of a wait but the haircut took more than an hour. When I finally was done and looked in the mirror, i was horrified. The worst line-​up I’ve ever had. Other than the line up the haircut was ok, but not what I asked for. I asked for a medium fade, not bald on the sides but as close to bald as he could go… he gave me a one on the sides and a high fade at that. He outlined around my ears at least a ½ inch past the natural hair line. Never saw anything like that. The back of my neck is 2 inches longer than normal… when i showed up to work the next day definitely got those «damn son» comments. Wont return.

I usually go to a place by my house but the dadlife is a busy life and i haven’t been able to find even an hour on my weekends to get my hair done. I looked up barbers by my office and saw good reviews here — called and made an appointment. Janelle got me in exactly on time, understood what i wanted right away, and got a haircut that has usually taken an hour done in 30 minutes, so i was able to get back to the office within my lunch break. Shop was nice, busy, good atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back.

Great shop with a welcoming environment! I was offered a job position that required me to begin immediately and I needed a clean haircut before my first day (the following day). I was referred to the shop by one of my friends and he recommended to get a haircut from Alex. I contacted him at such a short notice and he was able to accommodate my last minute request. He was very quick and precise with his haircutting technique and knew how to entertain his clients by maintaining a good conversation. Will definitely be back for my next haircut!

This place was great first of all they were open when they said theyd be (unlike a socal barber shop down the street whom I waited 20 mins for them to open past 10). I walked in and they took me immediately. She was quick kind good convo and she pays attention to details my cuts never looked better thanks guys aweaome job

One word… Fonce!
Been going to him for years. Always coming in clutch with the cleanest cuts. Not one time have I been disappointed with him. Honestly the most humble, hardworking, and genuine barber out there. Not only a good barber, but a good friend that actually listens to your requests and your life story. Wherever he goes, I go. Thanks Fonce!
In regards to the barbershop itself, great place. Ambiance is great. You can take your mom, pops, girlfriend and kids and they’ll feel at home. Owner is cool and very down to earth, he introduced himself when I first went. (Wifi, big screens, great barbers = best barbershop in town).
Keep up the great work fellas and ladies at the barber-​lounge.

So first, I’ve been to many barbershops. I’ve had multiple barbers throughout my life. They have all been able to cut but some I believe have always had their off days and made me wait 1 or 2 heads. Very frustrating.
At the Barber Lounger, Camillo is my barber and he always has me in the chair at the time that I make my appointment and is very consistent when it comes to the style
of cut I want. I’ve never had to wait, which is the best when you are time oriented liked myself. Other barbers there are very welcoming and the atmosphere is laid back and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this shop to everyone.

This barbershop is by far, the most professional and friendliest shop I’ve been to. The Barber Lounge has plenty of flat screens and a huge flat screen in the waiting room, music is not too loud or too soft, the atmosphere is professional and clean, and I feel welcomed every time I come get a cut. You can’t find a better barbershop inside of Oxnard or the surrounding cities. Oh and my haircuts here, are always the way I want it. Shout outs to Fonzdabarber ! This shop is heading the right way…

This place is legit. Nice, clean shop in DT Oxnard. I don’t usually get cuts like this since I’m in the military, but every time I come home on leave I go see my man Fons and he hooks it up. They have a wide range of clientele with different types of people with different preferences of hair so you know they don’t discriminate. So make it down here if you’re looking for a good cut. Ask for Fons.

This place is new, clean and right in the heart of Oxnard. My barber is the best (Mo) he is right up front. All the others are great too. Chris and Camilo are full of stories and will make your day bright. Stop in get a hair cut, facial hair trim I’m sure they do a lot more.
