Furniture arrived today, we chose the fabric — beautiful ! Best yet — made locally !
The guys that delivered were also very professional and personable. Overall, highly recommend this furniture store … and we shopped around.

I went in today to purchase a bunk bed set for my daughter and was so pleasantly surprised. I walked in and was greeted and was allowed to wander around without being stalked or pressured. After I made some rounds staff came to check and see if I had any questions and was polite and very helpful. We walked back and forth to the kids store a few times to make sure I was comfortable with my order and he helped me compare the pros and cons of different items. Both of the guys there weighed in helping me figure out what the best plan was in terms of my order and were extremely helpful. I even was given two HUGE pumpkins with my purchase for my girls. I can’t say enough good things about my visit in the store today. I feel horrible as I can’t remember the two gentleman who went above and beyond to help me. I will definitely be back as I saw many items that were of good quality and very timeless. What a find!

Unprofessional salespersons and management. I would give them zero stars if I could. Do NOT shop here… too many better places with better quality and better prices that treat you with respect.
We have purchased furniture here before and always felt we got good value for our dollar. We saw these beautiful theater style recliner /​seats for about $ 3000 and were instantly ready to buy. We have seen these things for sale for up to $ 5000. We called the salesperson over and told him we were interested in buying the seats. We pointed out how low the price seemed and he wrote down all the information and went to talk to the assistant manager. The salesperson never came back. The assistant manager walked over, pulled the price tag off and walked away. We waited expecting the salesperson to come back. Never came back. The assistant manager came back and put a new price tag over $ 4000 on the seats and said «you should have bought it when it was $ 3000» and walked away. And that was that. Again, the salesperson never came back and the manager didn’t apologize or even ask if we were still interested. I believe he just wanted us to leave so the problem with the mis-​labeling would officially go away.
We will never shop here again. Ever. Please don’t shop here either.

Went back to Reed’s! Once again, Chris helped us out and placed our order. He was professional and took the time to listen to our ideas. Definitely will be back. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great price, quality, and customer service. Thanks Chris!

The Sale People Lie
I went in to the store looking for a bedroom set. I explained what I wanted (contemporary with real wood construction) and the sales lady showed me what appeared to be a bargain. I asked repeatedly in the furniture was wood and she told me it was solid wood fronts and tops with veneers over plywood on the side. I turned the dresser around to see it was completely particle board with only a thin veneer! She tried to tell me that is how all furniture is constructed, never apologizing for her lie.

Livid would not even come close to describing how frustrated I am with this business right now.
The staff are incredibly unprofessional, inconsistent and unaccountable.
I was told by a sales associate and operator that they have a location in Oxnard when I called to inquire about a few piece of theirs that I saw online. The sales associate then emailed me pictures of furniture options in their store based on my stated needs and quoted me a price for each piece. At this point all was good and I looked forward to purchasing the headboard of my dreams from Reeds. I scheduled an appointment with the sales associate who told me to make sure I ask for her, commission-​based I guess, and drove down one hour from Santa Barbara to Oxnard only to discover that the Oxnard branch was closed; as in, not in service ever, and still under construction.
When I called the sales associate to express my frustration about being misled into believing there was a location in Oxnard, I was told that I could simply drive another 45 minutes to an hour to their Agoura Hills location and purchase my items there because the Oxnard store isn’t open yet. What?! She even mentioned that they’d shrink wrap the items and pack them in my truck. Big freaking deal!
I used my Unilocal app, called the OXNARD location, and was lead to believe that I had an appointment with their Oxnard location. I had no idea that they were routing phone calls to a different location. Moreover, I can’t believe this sales associate wouldn’t have mentioned it when I clearly stated that I was driving from SB to their Oxnard store.
I would NEVER drive to Agoura Hills to purchase a headboard and am shocked by the manipulative measures taken to attempt to derive business. If I were you I’d steer clear of any location of this business not just because of my bad experience but the accumulation of bad experiences from other Unilocalers.
Good for you Reed’s Furniture, you may have fooled me once but I’ll be darned if I fall for this type of crap again.

not happy at all — spent too much money for a living room set, and 3 months later it looks like its really used furniture. Poor quality and high priced — REEDS used to be my go to furniture store, but not anymore.

Came here at 6.45 pm on a Monday and the place was closed. No one had left a note or anything similar.

We came here and purchased our beautiful new California king bedroom set and our girls bunk beds here. It was pricey but the furniture is high-​end quality. You really get what you pay for. Free delivery and furniture assembly.

I took my 90 year old grandma shopping, she was looking for a new arm chair. She can’t stay out long so we chose Reeds & Sons Furniture (not the «Reeds Furniture» we thought it would be) because it looked like they had decent furniture and I’m sure they do. But, any store that doesn’t have prices listed on the items their selling seems shady. I understand the staffs’ job is to sell and make commission of your purchases. But when you tell them politey to leave you alone several times and they continue to pester you, it gets quite irritating. We finally decided on a discounted chair, which we assumed came with a footstool, unfortunately it did not. They then charged her an additional $ 350 for a footstool. Since my grandma was not going to shop around, she purchased it because it looked like a nice chair at the store. Once it was delivered to her house the fabric work looked like a kindergarden class stitched it together. I would never recommend this store to anyone and I will never go back. She said if she was younger she would have returned it and if it was my chair I would have return it immediately.

The service was patient, very easy-​going, and very knowledgeable about the manufacture of the sectional sofas. Large showroom with a good selection, and excellent prices compared with the other stores we had visited.

The crappiest furniture store i have EVER been to. they are irresponsible. people saying that this place is great are only talking bullshit! its just a waste of time. they are not reliable. HORRIBLE! trust me, they are not great at all

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Reeds is only busy selling their products, but their service is a piece of crap. i paid more than 1=$ 2000 at once just because they said my things will come earlier. if they just honestly told me exactly when it will come, i will be less mad. You want to buy something from them? My advice, Don’t do it. IT’S WASTING TIME.
I ordered a sofa and a queen size bed set on June 8, 2012. this saleswoman name Susan was in charge of helping us. however, she kept going back on her words. the first time we met, Susan said if i paid in full, my things will come on June 12 so i can pick it up the next day. when i went, Sarah wasn’t there. so i changed my order to delivery. this other guy name Tony who is the manager of reeds furniture told me that Susan will call me tomorrow and explain whats going on. but i never got the call. my husband called the reeds furniture on June18, and they said they will deliver it to us 3days later. the next day, they called me that the deliver will be postponed. AGAIN? after waiting so long, i was at my limit so i called them and was able to talk to Susan. that Susan gave me all these excuses about why she didn’t call back and how my damn order is postponed AGAIN! i paid in full for some shit that i might not even get.

Excellent Customer Service. We just recently purchase a sofa from them as they were one of the few that sold american made furniture that could be customized. We were tired of seeing all of this overseas junk that was take it as it sits. «you can have it any way you want, just so long as the final product looks exactly like the one on the floor.» It was not until we landed at Reed’s that they showed us several lines that they could have made up they way we wanted it. The couches even showed up three weeks earlier than expected. The third party delivery crew they hired was both courteous and efficient. Not only would we buy from them again, but we already have and I would have no problem suggesting them to anyone else as well.

Paid in full for sofa and love seat on Nov. 25 after being reassured by saleslady that items would be delivered on Dec. 09. The 9^th came and went so contacted the store to be told that she was not to have given a delivery date. The gentleman with whom we were now talking also informed us that Dec. 15 would be the new date and called (at least we were contacted this time) on the 14^th to advise us that we are now looking at some time after Christmas. He did give us the option of taking the floor models (with no offer of a discount) if we needed them now.
Unfortunately, we experienced a very similar incident some eight years ago when delivery of a table and chairs was delayed by months (after the «all sales are final» clause it seemed that no one really wanted to take charge in tracking the items down responsibly).
As much or more so as the delays, it is the apparent «say anything to close a sale» attitude that we’ve encountered that ensures that we will no longer patronize Reed’s Furniture in Oxnard — in spite of major refurnishing needs.

We love this place! Got a sofa and coffee table here a few weeks back. Access to the store is convenient and tons of parking. Friendly salespeople and very good prices. Had such a good experience, definitely we’ll be back for bedroom furniture!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS REEDS. IN FACT DON’T BUY FROM ANY REEDS. I had an awful experience buying from this company. Eric was my salesperson and he sold me a bed and a dresser. I purchased the items on the 20 August 2011 with a delivery time frame of 6 – 8 weeks. I paid half the total and would be the rest of the balance when the furniture arrived. On the 29 Sept I called to find out when the items would be delivered. I was told by an employee that my order was on back-​order and would not be delivered until the end of Dec and that I would not to work with Eric when he returned into the office. I called Eric on 30 Sept and he said let me look into this. I said the store in Agoura has the dresser see if you can get it. This call was placed into Eric at 9:50am. I received a callback at 2:53 pm explaining that no one has it in stock and that I must keep with the order and wait for my dresser by the end of DEC. I told Eric to check again with the Agoura store to inquiry about the floor model. Ialso spoke with Cathy who portrayed herself as the office manager, whom I later found out Reeds does not have a office manager. She suggested I pick something else out whoever would try to find the dresser and call me back. I never received a callback from Eric or Cathy. I visited the store in person on the 01 Oct. Eric finally gave me the options to look around for something else or keep the order and he would give me a loaner chest. I agreed to the later. I went to the front and was told that I owed $ 400. I asked why. Well we need you to pay for half the dresser that is on order or we will not order it. #1 the dresser should have been on order and #2 this was not part of the original agreement. The owner was in the building and would not help diffuse the situation, he just sat in his office and stated we had to wait for the sales manager. I was told OK don’t pay the $ 400 just pay $ 200 and this ensures your dresser is ordered. I said heck no this is not part of the original deal. How do I ensure that the dresser gets here by the end of Dec. I will pay for the item once it comes in. Now Eric has disappeared to help other customers and is not near to help advocate. Why is Reeds bad:
#1 no customer followup Eric should have let me know that the bed was coming in late/​called me back when I had a concern
#2 Eric should have provided me with options like a loaner or another dresser
#3 Change the policy and request for more money when they had not lived up to their end of the bargain
#4 Owner could care less if you had a problem with them or not
#5 Why can the owner make a decision why does he have to wait for the sales manager
I would rather go to Living Spaces or Oak Discounters and give them my money before I ever deal with Reeds again. They are happy to take your money but good luck ever getting your merchandise or help in dealing with customer service issues. By the way I was told the Reeds in Agoura does not deal with Reeds in Oxnard. I wonder why bad name for the company.
