I’ve been collecting music for 15 years bin to 100s of record shop but peacocks is on that level 80 collectors dream of and if u don’t know what i mean by 80 s cuts u not knowing better for us 80s collectors

The best place for old school funk, oldies, rock and other classics on vinyl and CD. I’ve been buying records from Peacocks for over 20 years. Major part of my collection came from this place alone. Great prices and selection keep me coming back for more. The owner Richard is always welcoming and extremely knowledgeable with all types of music. He’s also taken care of special orders for music I’ve been trying to find for years. Can’t wait to go digging vinyl soon.

I went on a marathon record shop adventure while out in Cali for my girlfriends wedding. This place was a gem boutique. The dollar record bin was stacked with killer pulls and the rest of the shop had amazing bargains and finds as well. I showed up 15 minutes before the shop closed. I didn’t realize that I was keeping the place open until my girlfriend notified me into my pick session that technically they closed 15 minutes ago. The owner never rushed me and was more than happy to stay open until I was done looking. I walked out with a massive stack of records for a price that I felt was way too cheap. Go to this place. Support this shop!!!

ATMOSPHERE
Typically like any record store that sells records, records all over the place, somethings in or out of alphabetical order, new arrivals in crates all over the floor or stacked upon other records.
LOCATION
Good location. It’s located in downtown Oxnard, where all the community festivities and night life events happen.
SERVICE
The record store owner is awesome. Richard’s a welcoming person and is reasonable with his records prices.
RECORDS
This spots’ records has fairly cheap prices and contains some nice gems and good common stuff that’s kept in better condition than from some careless swapmeet vendor. If you are ever in need to find the missing puzzle pieces of your Kool and the Gang 45 collection, here’s the place to go.
SUMMARY
Good service. Cheap records of occasional rarities and regular good stuff. If you’re from the «Lost Gates,» then it’s likely that you know of the place and familiar of the area. If you’re not, be the one to explore. I give this place 4 stars.
