I go to OC, the food is not bad, considering it is made by students and comes at a reasonable price :) The sushi plate is my favorite($ 3)!

Menu is like Southern Cali weather: most times there’s something good like pizza slices, custom salads and sandwiches, but once in a while, you’ll run into a flavor tidal wave of awesome. That tidal wave was known as beef burgundy. A French beef entrée slow-simmered in a concoction of gravyliciousness I dare dream every time I order beef burgundy. Meat braises to the point you could spread it on a bread roll and gravy you will drown into with reckless abandon by dipping edibles to and fro. ‘Well, cool,’ you might say. ‘What’s the big deal,’ you question. How about I tell you that beef burgundy is something served at white linen restaurants with sommeliers and abundance of truffle oil where you’ll easily hit the $$$ mark here on Unilocal!,but here, in a cafeteria manned by future chefs at those same restaurants perfecting their art, you’ll enjoy it for less than a value meal at ‘insert favorite fast food restaurant here. If you love it so much, why only three stars?‘ Simple. This cafeteria had a spaghetti that shamed most spaghetti to shudder and a breakfast burrito the Sun looks forward to in the morning. And they took that away from me. PS Will update if those two things ever come back.

In reality this isn’t a restaurant it’s just good home food being made by students in the culinary program. They have many choices usually a whole warm lunch meal combo with drink included, choices of pizza slices, and salads. What I like is that they switch up the menu every week. It can go from Italian to Asian and Mexican inspired cuisine. However that also is the reason I could not give this establishment 5 stars. In reality it is hit and miss, at times I was mad because I ordered something I thought would be good but was average. However when you pick the right entrée, you end up not regretting leaving campus to get some fast food. I recommend this for morning students or morning people because the café closes at 1. Even at times when it’s supposed to close at 1 the food is gone by 12−1pm so my advise is… the early bird gets the worm.

I enjoy eating the salads there in the cafeteria it’s so convenient that way I don’t have to Drive far away and stay there to study some more before my next class. The rolls are also so good.

This cafeteria is sad and GROSS! The first time I went the only thing on the menu was SLOPPYJOES. plus, they close at 1pm! ALSOTHEIRMICROWAVESAREDISGUSTING. They look like they’ve literally NEVER been cleaned. Absolutely horrifying. Its a disgrace.

It’s super convenient to stay on campus and not have to drive and lose my parking spot. I swing over and grab a slice of pizza for $ 2.00. You can’t beat a freshly baked slice of pizza for $ 2.00. They also started serving breakfast on certain days and that helps when I forget to grab breakfast before I leave my house. Thanks Oxnard College for keeping this place open…
