Kenz Muffler Service

These guys are great at Kenz! I called to get an appointment for some muffler upgrades to my Dodge Challenger Hellcat. They told me to bring it right in and they would do it while I waited. Excellent job, welds were a work of art. Definitely getting all my exhaust business.

Went in to see if I could get a quick muffler upgrade and Eric said sure no problem and got me on the rack right away! He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly! I have been for a new exhaust shop since I returned home from the military and I am sure that I have found it! Great job, great prices and perfect welds every time!!! You guys are awesome keep it up!

I went to Kenz muffler based on a referral from my parents. I took my son’s Silverado and had a Flowmaster Super 44 muffler welded on. They did it in about 45 minutes and the price is very reasonable. Well, i was extremely pleased… so much I decided to put another Super 44 on my Yukon. Man, it sounds awesome!!! Service was excellent. The shop is pretty clean and very efficient.

Excellent Service. Sean is Knowledgeable, courteous, Listened when I explained what my Honda service found, explained what he could do, cut my muffler because the bolts were 2 rusted & removing them could damage entire tract up 2 catalytic converter & cost ++bucks.found the broken parts which were causing the pinging noise on acceleration in the muffler & welded a-​new one. I was outa there ‘n 30+ minutes. Highly recommend this place Kenz Muffler. Thank U Guys.

Just came back from Kenz Muffler. What a great business and outstanding service. I called this morning about one of my work trucks having a bad catalytic converter, Keith asked me to hold to see if he had all the necessary parts in stock to fix it. Within minutes he came back and let me know they had everything needed and supplied me with an all inclusive estimate for the repair without me even getting the chance to ask for one. I brought my truck down to them, they immediately pulled it in and got started on the replacement. In less than 45 minutes they had the truck off the rack and back in the parking lot 100% completed and waiting for me. The cost of the repair was exactly the amount quoted, not a penny more. Both guys here were extremely friendly, polite and more than willing to explain anything about the project I asked. Kenz muffler has my highest professional respect and I will be recommending them to anyone that is in need of the services they offer. Thanks guys.

Down to business here, the son quoted me the price and time to replace and upgrade my exhaust and followed through perfectly I will keep them on my list of referrals. his work looked great also!

Ken’s Muffler is the best! I took a honda yrs. back when Keiths Dad Ken owned the shop. He did an excellent job & quick! Great service! I just had work done on my mini van and they drove me home picked me up in an hour! It was done! Reasonable price too! Great people and excellent work! I highly recommend them!

I’m just finishing the final touches on my long restoration project of a 68 Firebird. I was looking for a muffler shop in Ventura County that would be as picky about my car as I am. I searched on Unilocal and found great reviews of this place. Last friday I called Kenz Muffler and spoke with the owner Keith (nice guy) and made an appointment for the following Monday morning (today). As soon as I pulled into the shop they were there ready for my car and got right to work. The guys took a very detailed inspection of what all needed to be done, making sure they left nothing out. They gave me a very reasonable quote and got right to work. I watched from their waiting room and was very impressed with how meticulous they were with getting my pipes just right. After about an hour they were done and I paid exactly what they quoted.
Overall I was very happy with Kenz Muffler Service and this will be the place I take all my exhaust needs. If you have a Hot Rod or custom project and need a place that will take care of your project and get the job done right, go to Kenz!

I will start this review off with the fact that Kenz was referred to me by a friend who has used them for years. He has never had any issue (until now), so since he is an expert I trusted his opinion and went to Kenz for my whole new exhaust system on my classic Bronco.
At first the son was nice and helpful, he fabricated the system in a day and the work seemed be really good.
I provided my own muffler and flanges, Kenz did all of the pipe fabrication/​installation.
Everything seemed fine.
I then started to do some upgrades on the motor which required the removal of the headers, so the exhaust was disconnected.
I now went to re-​bolt us the system and nothing fit. Pipes were over an inch off, hitting the driveshaft, crooked. I thought that this must be strange, maybe the system was under some sort of pressure when installed and then being unbolted it relaxed. I did not know. I am not a welder.
So I called up Kenz and made an appointment to bring the truck in. I drive from Moorpark, so this was a whole day excursion putting the truck on the trailer and going out there.
I showed up to Kenz on time and the father son team was working on their new AC unit in the front window. Neither of them said «Hi» as I walked up, and the son seemed to be frustrated with his father who was telling him he needed to fabricate a new support. Who knows. Finally they came over to the trailer to take a look.
The father was really insightful and very nice. He seemed to really appreciate my truck and the work I had put into it. The son on the other hand was in some pissed off mood. He spent 15 minutes under the truck huffing and puffing and complaining about it not lining up. (DUH THATS WHY I AM HERE AND MADE THE APPOINTMENT!!)
After that time passed, the son finally said for me to put the truck on his lift.
I told him as I did prior on the phone, That the truck did not run anymore since we had installed a new EFI system and I wasn’t going to fire it until the exhaust was buttoned up.
(side note: i have moved this truck by myself with a trailer to 3 other shops for work, paint, stereo, powder coat. All by myself)
The son then threw another fit that the truck didn’t run. I said I could back the trailer right to his lift and put it right on there myself. So I went ahead and got into position to put it on the lift before the son approached me in my truck with attitude again. «Can you do this???»
I said yes I could and finally I had to ask, «Why are you so upset right now?»
I told him that he seemed to be really upset about something and was taking it out on me, THE PAYING CUSTOMER!!!
He immediately blew his lid. and went off the deep-​end. Freaking out about the truck not running (even though he was told in advance), about the steering not working (never was a problem before) and finally the work he had to do.
I am a paying client I told him. I was going to pay him for his work, EVEN THOUGH it should have been warrantied because he work didn’t last. And he still freaked out!
He told me to strap up my truck and get it the «F*** out of here».
I asked again, that he is refusing to do the work for a paying customer WHO was there for warranty work. And he still spewing insults went off the deep end.
I strapped my truck down and wasted my entire day with that loser and his daddys shop.
With service like this, this shop won’t survive after daddy moves on.
I have never in my life had such poor customer service. Ive never unprovoked had anyone react the way he did.
Maybe he was mad at his father or who knows what. But now I have a half done job by a deab beat shop.
I will NEVER bring these guys business or refer them.
If i were you, avoid them. They obviously don’t need your money. The shop was empty, no work being done, except for their precious AC unit. They obviously make plenty of money gouging their tenants who rent the rest of their building.
Don’t give them the time of day or the ability to rip you off.
So many women praise them for being honest and helpful, when its obviously a scam to get more money from you. Beware!
They WILL NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY OR THEIR WORK! PERIOD!
SHAME ON YOU KENZ MUFFLER. I hope you have another son who will do a better job running this establishment!

Great service! Fast and efficient! Keith and his son are super nice and their prices are amazing! Because I’m a woman, sometimes I feel intimidated going to places to get work done on my car for fear that my lack of car knowledge will be exploited. Going to Kenz is one of the few times I felt completely comfortable and left satisfied with their service & kindness. Thanks guys!

Great quality and service at Kenz. I had been to a couple other shops where either quality or service was lacking. You won’t be disappointed with their work!

I had a tail pipe that separated from the flange connecting it to the muffler and I was thinking the shop would try to sell me a whole new muffler system. I was not given a quote until they put it up on the rack and did a thorough inspection. I was pleasantly surprised when I was told that the flange had separated from the pipe and could be welded for $ 40. All other components including the catalytic converter appeared to be in good shape. (2001 RAV 4). I was out of there in 15 minutes. I recommend this shop for any muffler or welding work. Very honest!

I’ve only been here a handful of times, but I always feel bad leaving this place. I always feel as though I’ve short changed them. Excellent prices, awesome service and a very down to earth friendly team. I try to do all the work myself on my vehicles, mainly because I don’t trust others. I don’t mind leaving the keys to my baby in their hands.

This father and son team are the real deal. Fixed my exhaust leak and at a fair price.

Took my 04 acura RSX in to get it checked out for rattles from my header and exhaust. To my surprise, it was just an O2 sensor that was loose! They let me go free of charge. They have also installed a cat on my friends miata, did a great job with that too. I would recommend this place who wants anything done to their car as far as exhaust setups!

The guys here are simply put, awesome. They do an amazing job on cars that lasts for years and years. You do not ever have to worry about getting ripped off or having a car that sounds like a Japanese bean can, because they do quality work. Period.
