The Flores Bros. Kenpo Karate Studio was established in 1977. The Flores Bros. specializes in providing comprehensive training in American Kenpo Karate founded by Ed Parker. American Kenpo Karate is an updated system of self-​defense based on modern day street fighting, applying logic and practicality. In addition to providing a proven curriculum of self defense, the Flores Bros. have committed to establishing a positive, principle centered environment that encourages each child, adult and family to be the best they can be! History

Established in 1977.

The Flores Bros. Kenpo Karate Studio was established in Oxnard in1977, owned and operated by Sifu Jesus Flores. Sifu (Chinese for «instructor») Jesus Flores started training in 1972, training directly under Ed Parker, until Mr. Parker’s passing in 1990. Sifu Jesus currently holds a 9^th degree Black Belt in American Kenpo Karate. He also holds a 2^nd degree Black Belt under Guro Dan Inosanto in the Filipino Martial Arts. The studio provides instruction in American Kenpo Karate, Filipino Martial Arts and Jun-​Fan. Classes are scheduled for children ages (4 – 12) and adults (13 and up) with classes available in the evening and the morning. The studio is open Monday through Saturday. In addition to regularly scheduled classes, Flores Bros. also offers specialized seminars and karate competitions throughout the year. The Flores Bros. Studio is a proud and active member of Ventura County, recognized by civic and community leaders alike for their positive contribution to the community.

Sifu Jesus Flores is considered one of the foremost authorities in Ed Parker’s American Kenpo. He personally trained with Ed Parker from 1985 – 1990. Currently holds a 9^th degree black belt.

Sifu Jesus has been training with Guro Dan Inosanto in the Filipino Martial Arts since 1994 teaching a blend of 35 different Filipino Martial Arts. Sifu Jesus currently holds a 2^nd degree black belt under Guro Dan Inosanto.
