Never would I have thought about reviewing a auto repair place but my experience at Firestone Oxnard was so unexpected and so great.
I was in SoCal on business and noticed a slow leak in one of my fairly new tires. After first stopping at a Goodyear where I stood at the counter for 10 minutes with being acknowledged. I drove down the street to Firestone fully expecting to spend most of the day there.
I was immediately helped, my car was on the rack in 15 minutes. They found a nail and repaired my tire in record time. And it wasn’t only me. The staff was courteous and professional with all their clients. Including a homeless military widow with a service dog. I was impressed with how she was treated and they reminded her of her military discount. Outstanding!

It was my first time last week and I was there to change my brake pads. Although the wait was long (because I had no idea how long a brake pad change will take) I was further impressed by the quality of service I received from the staff. They called me to notify me that my brakes were thin, that my rotors will still in good condition, and that one of my tail lights were out. I agreed to have them take care of everything and it was a great service for the price they gave me. I would highly recommend this place to friends and family.

They have been great every time we get our van serviced. The tires we bought were reasonably priced, the credit line approval process was easy, and they fixed our brakes that used to shake our vehicle all over the place. I even brought my mother-​in-​law to get new tires on her vehicle.

I was in dire need of a car battery as mine decided to quit on me. I called this shop to see if they had it in stock, spoke with Farid, he guaranteed me they had it and could replace it right away. I went into Firestone while on my lunch break from work, they installed it, gave me an excellent price and I was out the door in time to get back to work! Awesome shop, I will be back for sure!!!

I have been a customer at this firestone for the last year and they are amazing! After spending thousands at the dealership to fix an issue, I finally brought it to firestone. They diagnosed and fixed the issue within 20 minutes and for under $ 100! The staff was professional and couldn’t have been nicer to me & my kids. They even had tons of toys in the waiting room for my kids to play with and the shop was spotless! I cannot say enough good things about this shop. Highly recommended them!

Other than for an oil change, I would never go here for anything.
I went a long while back for new brakes and tires and they installed them improperly. I recently went for a new alternator, only because my battery was under warranty and I thought maybe it was a battery issue… and the woman weekend manager was «unfriendly» to say the least. Horrible customer service.
Go to Ventura Firestone and ask for Dale! Or go elsewhere if you have to stay in Oxnard.

Just a little disappointed.
Had my breaks replaced once, but they continued to squeak.
I went back to buy tired and told Firestone about the breaks still making noise.
They looked at them and they admitted that they were defected and they happily replaced the pads.
I went to go have my car worked with a different mechanic and I asked them to look at the breaks because they where still making noise.
They replaced them and they told me that it looked like Firestone did not resurface the rotors and that was causing the noise.

Horrible experience. To summarize my visit I went in for small minor tune up and ended up paying for something that was unrelated. They even charge me to fix my brakes which were fine. I later find out that they didn’tfix my breaks they actually just sawed my rotor way too far which exceeds CA LIMIT

I called ahead, needed a battery, they checked, they said they had it. Rolled up 3 minutes prior to closing, they had the battery and the paperwork ready. Checked the price AFTERWORDS… They had the best price. I could write a lot, but it’d just be fluff. Good solid service, great price.

Took our company vehicle van to get fixed twice… The first time spent nearly $ 1300.00 to get several things fixed such as the tires, axels and brakes. Took it back to get the AC compressor and got charged $ 900.00. When the vehicle was brought back to the facility, the van started to smoke from the engine compartment. The customer service department decided to take a whooping $ 40.00 off for the trouble. Firestone in my opinion is not a professional and experienced place to take a vehicle.

I had a fantastic experience at this Firestone. I told them that I needed my tire plugged, and they got it in and out in no time. Their price was reasonable, and they didn’t try to sell me a bunch of extra crap or a set of new tires. I’ve been to many Firestones, and have always had positive experiences. This one didn’t let me down.
I would like to add that Eddie at the front desk was great. He made small talk, which helped the time go by quickly. He has great customer service skills, and has some interesting stories to share.

I had an appointment at 8am. I checked in only to find out that there was 5 other people that was also scheduled the same time as me and with only one mechanic. I asked how long will it take just to get a quote getting my window regulator fixed and he said 3 hours.
So I left, went to Autozone, bought the part, Youtube how to fix it and got it done in 1 hour.

I agree with the guys who says they are borderline criminal. Grease or oil was smeared on my back shock and I was told I needed new shocks. Bull crap! The prices quoted for 4 new shocks was way over priced too. Wow. Right now all we get there is tire rotation and lifetime alignment with purchase of new tires which we had done twice in the past with them. We are again looking into new tires and can find better prices out in town with the competition. CYA!

This place is criminal. We took two cars there for service and in both cases they quoted us for a lot of work we didn’t need and overcharged for what we did need. Brought one vehicle in for squeaky brakes. They quoted us $ 1200 including brake pads, rotors, brake cleaning (why do new pads need to be cleaned?), a new tire (who asked them for this?) a new air filter (again, who asked?) and a whole bunch of other stuff we did not need and did not ask for.
Brought it to another mechanic and turns out the brakes just needed a cleaning, which cost us $ 50. The guy said we’ll need new pads in a few more months. So Firestone quoted $ 1,200 vs $ 50 at another reputable mechanic.
We also brought a vehicle in for a quote on new tires. They quoted almost $ 1,000 and we get it done for $ 640 elsewhere.
I’ve been to other Firestones and always had good experiences. But we tried this place twice and both times they tried to take advantage of us.
They should be ashamed that they run a business this way.

They have a new interior look for their front desk and waiting area.
The front entrance has 3 individual customer service desks/​booths with their own computers. Pretty cool since the employee can easily show you on their screen what’s going on with the cars in the account. They also have a large sign with a price menu of their services by their windows too.
The waiting area is located in the back corner where they used to have stacks on stacks of tires but now they’re gone. With new space, the waiting area is less cluttered and has room for a flat screen, additional chairs and a cute kids desk with chairs.
A nice upgrade to match their quality work in their services. And keep a lookout for their coupons in the mail or at the bottom of the print out receipt after an online survey completion: D

I’ve been coming to this place to service my company vehicle for the past 3.5 years. They’ve performed great maintenance with my vehicle and
I’ve never had a issue. Élan and his crew are honest when it comes to my companies vehicle needs and are prompt during services.
Even though I have yet to service my personal vehicle I would definitely come here. I purchased a lifetime wheel alignment service for $ 179 from a sister franchise and will definitely take my personal vehicle here for these fine folks to service because they have shown to be people of ethical character.
They underwent a slight renovation; new exterior paint and new lobby. They will probably have a new HD flat screen instead of the old 13 inch tube in the waiting area! If they do revert back to the 13 inch tube you have the option of waiting elsewhere at the nearby Oxnard Public Library, Ruby’s Café, or the Fresh or Fabulous Café.
