Great job! We made the mistake of locking ourselves out of our new house… thank goodness for ESP locksmith! He was here very quickly and was able to open the door, and change all the locks in the house, and make new keys for a cheaper price than we were originally expecting for just the lock changing. I would HIGHLY recommend.

Allen from ESP locksmith did a great job replacing my keys for my maxima was very professional and even though I was at work he was able to meet me on my lunch and was able to get me a key made before my lunch was done. A couple of weeks later my In laws lost there only car keys to a 05 Mazda6 called Allen once again, set up a time of when he was available, gave him the address and with in 20mins of his arrival I was able to have a key made to start the car. Not only is he quick with his work but very precise, and most of all fair with his prices so next time you lock yourself out of your vehicle lose your keys I highly recommend Allen from ESP locksmith

Called ESP to have a key made for my car, but there ended up being a ton of miscommunication and misquoted prices from the person I spoke with.
I ended up going with another company in town, and called back to let them know I would be going in another direction (and to not order the key). They proceeded to hang up on me… thought that was some bad customer service, but didn’t think much of it.
About two weeks later, I received 4 calls in a row from the same gentleman, just to tell me how mad they were about now having to return the key to the dealership (which was ordered without my permission).
The only thing saving them from a one star review, is that the owner finally did apologize for the miscommunication. Simply a weird business transaction from start to finish!

ESP did a great job on my business door locks in Carpinteria. Quick, same day service — re-​keyed three locks and took me from three keys to one! Great prices, great work, friendly service — totally recommended!

I love my old faithful cabrio but she is getting on in the years – the top was down and I had just finished a very refreshing yoga class in SB when duh! I lock my keys in the trunk of the car. After spending hours trying to break into my car — if you need somewhere safe to keep your belongings the trunk of my convertible is the place to do it — back and forth confusion with my insurance company and a ineffective visit from roadside service, Allen from ESP Locksmith arrived on the scene. It was no easy job, the locks on the door had been switched out, the trunk lock was doing its job, and my anti-​theft system was very good at keeping people out. After more than 3 hours, Allen finally had to remove the door and essentially ‘trick’ the door lock into thinking it was being unlocked. Hooray! I’m no fool, I could see it could have gone either way, and Allen put everything back to together so that my speaker system still works and really given all of his work didn’t charge that much. He was also very friendly and though I hope I never have to use his services again it’s good to know he’s around.

the WORST experience, I called to fix a front door lock that was broken at the empty apartment next door. He knew that the lock would turn and i am unable to open the door. He quoted $ 35.00 to come out and that there are 2 possible fixes. a simple fix will cost an additional $ 20.00 if the spindle and a more expensive $ 50.00 if the latch is broken. he shows up and asked if there was another way to enter because it would be easier to work on the lock from inside. I said the only other way is the second floor balcony, he did not have a ladder so i lent him one and gave him possible keys to open the door. He got in, went to the front door and removed the 2 screws to view that it was the spindle that was broken and it was the less expensive fix. I asked if he can re-​key the lock while we had it apart. He then quoted $ 195.00, when i asked why, he said $ 35.00 to show up, $ 65.00 to open the door $ 30 to re-​key and $ 65.00 to change the spindle. I was floored. When i questioned again as to why the $ 65.00 his reply was to go in and open the door and when i said that he said $ 20.00 for the spindle. he replied it is $ 65.00 take it or leave it. when i questioned again, he said just give me $ 95.00 for showing up and opening the door. I gave him $ 95.00 for 3 minutes of work and he left the lock apart.

Sadly, after seeing my roommate deal with these people, I don’t think I’ll ever get near to calling them… You can find my roommate’s review below as well, but I’ll just relay what I saw and heard.
My roommate had a meeting, but he ended up locking his keys in the car. After a few attempts of using a wire hanger as a slim jim, we decided to just leave it to the professionals to help. My roommate called and was told that it would be a $ 35 flat rate with charges afterwards being due to time and labor. We thought that this would be about $ 75 (and I believe something the person on the phone might have mentioned) or so, which is what most other places were charging, thus we decided to go for it.
After an hour or so, my roommate left and went down to meet the locksmith. Once he came back, he was definitely not happy. The good news was that the locksmith was able to unlock the car door. The bad news is that the guy was charging $ 95 for his services. When my roommate asked what was up since the person on the phone said it was supposed to be cheaper, even if variable, the locksmith said that it was a fixed cost. What’s up with that? Definitely not cool and quite deceptive… My roommate was able to argue the guy down to $ 85, but my roommate still was not a very happy camper…
My roommate called back to complain about the $ 95 charge, but they didn’t really do anything. Later, the person on the phone called my roommate back, so I thought it was going to be some form of apology/​compensation. Instead, they asked why he had only paid $ 85 instead of the $ 95 charge. Messed up! Definitely not a service I would recommend to anyone in need.

I chose this locksmith after reading all the great reviews on Unilocal.I needed to unlock my car so I called ESP up, gave them my make, model, and year, and they gave me an estimate of $ 55 upwards, depending upon the work involved, so I was expecting something in the range of $ 70.
The technician showed up, but he told me that for my particular car, there was a fixed price of $ 95. I was shocked, because I had previously told them exactly what my car was, yet they did not tell me that there was a fixed price. Good thing I was able to bring it down to $ 85. However, this was extremely misleading, and I would not choose to do business with such a deceptive company, especially when entrusting them with something as valuable as security.
Initially the service was cordial, but the technician was rude and insulting. He told me that my car was old and that I should sell it. He had to pry the door open slightly to reach the lock inside, and when I checked for damage, he told me not to worry about it because it was an old car. Lastly, when I was making the payment, he rushed me so that he could get out of there and onto his next customer. I wrote him a check, and he kindly informed me that if the check bounced, he would break into my garage and trash my car. What service provider vying for business in their right minds would insult and threaten a client in such a manner?
Not a good one.

ESP was recommended to me and now I can highly recommend them to you ! I live in Santa Barbara and had them come out to change the locks when I moved into a new house. They were quick and efficient and did not try to over sell me. I appreciated their honesty about what I needed and what I didn’t need. I would definitely call them again.

I was out of town and locked my keys in my car. I was super proud! Fortunately, a friend recommended ESP Locksmith and they were awesome. It was late at night and he arrived really quickly, was courteous, and I felt safe. I definitely recommend them if you need great locksmith in the area.

ESP locksmith is fast and efficient. all of the other locksmiths in town charge way too much for their service fee but ESP charges half. They good deals on locks. and our office will continue to use their service as long as they’re around
