Elite Firearms Training and Refugio Flores were suggested to me by McBride Tactical in Oxnard.
Refugio and his team of instructors have a great passion for what they do and are total pros. starting with safety, he and his team of instructors Justin, Joe, Paul and the rest cater to every level of student they give you a lot of hands on training.
They have tons of experience, and are very professional and organized, the training is a combination of one on one range time mixed up with group lessons with drills so you’re getting better tactical training with more than just typical stand and shoot target practice.
Refugio having been a former Kung Fu champion brings a lot of skills over to the shooting/​self defense side of the training.
I was at the range with my daughters shooting and Refugio happened in he came and spent an hour with the girls teaching them technique just because we were there.
There is nothing more exciting than watching a passionate teacher engage students.

Refugio Flores was suggested by Shooter’s Paradise in Oxnard, a great shooting range with none of the attitude of the ranges in LA– very important for a beginner like me. Refugio is a total pro; tons of experience, super professional and organized and he caters to every level of student. Not only does he stress safety, but he mixes up the lessons with drills so you’re getting more than just typical stand and shoot target practice. He’s also flexible with booking sessions, which is great.
