This review is long overdue but I was being treated by dr. danny about once a week for a month or so, the second month I came in for my visit and was told he wasn’t able to see me because my insurance hadn’t paid him yet. Okay ?? I’ve worked for chiropractic offices and know that insurance companies sometimes take some time to pay. I called two weeks later in pain asking him to please take me as my back was hurting pretty badly. He once again said «your insurance has not paid me so I can’t take you» really? I went back to my regular chiropractor who took me in right away. I received a letter from my insurance company a week or two later letting me know that dr. danny had been paid. You want to believe that your doctor is kind and truly cares about you sadly that is not dr. danny the only thing dr. danny cares about is money.
I was also there trying to loose weight for my wedding I was 5“4 150 lbs and was talked into acupuncture for weight management at 100 $ a session I did it because I felt a bit bullied into it during my «consultation» with dr. danny he basically body shamed me I told him I wanted to be 125 – 130 for my wedding he told me I should set my goal at 100 pounds and to look at his wife she’s a size 0 and that’s what I should strive for.
I managed to loose the weight I wanted for the wedding in a healthy manner and keep it off without dr. dannys acupuncture or mean comments.
This review is harsh but I wouldn’t want anyone else experiencing what I experienced at this office. Young women beware he will take your money and your self-​confidence.
Review update: Doctor Danny contacted me publicly for my review (see below) I would have appreciated a personal call or Unilocal direct message to discuss the problem instead of trying to publicly engage in a Unilocal argument but what did I expect from this doctor I suppose?
Unilocal is meant to get unfiltered insight on a business but rather than taking this review to self reflect and figure out how to make the business better you continue to try to bully and manipulate. My review stands.

The cost for the service received it just didn’t match, also the pain was back the very next day. I was not a good experience at all.

I have been suffering from whiplash back pain for 8 months now, and unfortunately, other chiropractors and Physical Therapists couldn’t fix the pain. Dr. Danny Lai was my last resort! He honestly knows what he is doing, and I’m so glad I made this decision in my life. His «adjustment» was like no other chiropractic adjustment that I have ever had. The acupuncture is so relaxing and I look forward to feeling/​seeing results.

I had the best facial from Molly. She has amazing hands and has such wonderful calm energy. She took her time addressing my needs. I highly recommend her.

If you are skeptical of chiropractors give Dr Lai a try… He is kind, funny, patience can’t say gentle cause I tell him to use a little force lol but I always leave feeling amazing!

I believe my health is worth so much more than a western Dr tossing me a bottle of pain pills. I’m not about that life!

Dr Lai is more than a guy who adjust your body or stops pain, he is a healer in the truest sense. He has made the art of listening a part of his practice and his understanding of the mind-​body connection makes him a compassionate practitioner. You will notice few contraptions, little reliance on technology and an absence of pretense in his office. What you find is a person who loves his family, cares for those in pain and who practices what he preaches. He is also an effective health professional. I’ve tried others, but always return to Danny. I suffered hip pain that is not something fixed overnight, but with gentle and wise application of his technique I am the best I’ve been in a decade.

Dr. Lai has CHANGED MY LIFE.
I had been experiencing lower back pain for about two months before deciding to do something about it. I wasn’t able to sit for long periods of time and no amount of stretching was helping. I even started doing yoga in hopes of finding a solution, but I did not. I even went to get a massage and I thought I found the answer with the massage therapist doing something fancy called muscle trigger therapy, but those results lasted about a week before the pain started coming back and with a vengeance, might I add.
The night before seeing Dr. Lai, all I did was get up on my two feet from sitting on the floor and I experienced such back pain that I could barely move and was unable to sleep.
After what I thought was a consultation and filling out the new patient paperwork, he got to work. I heard so many cracks, it was like a machine gun. He fixed my back and I thought it was over. Little did I know I had two more tables to lay on and then my neck was adjusted and finally he twisted me into a pretzel and adjusted the part that I need fixing.
After leaving I honestly felt like a new person. I had so much more energy and I had the best night of rest that I had in a long time. I actually woke up at a decent hour (I actually woke up at 5:30 am and then forced myself back to bed) and realized that even with all the hours of sleep I was getting before, I wasn’t really getting quality sleep.
If you haven’t gone to a chiropractor, you are seriously missing out on life.

I love this place! Not only is Danny honest but he is old school when it comes to popping bones. He took me in the same day and was able to explain the pain I was having on my left shoulder. I was so cautions about going but realized it was the best decision ever. Will be making monthly appointments so that I can stay on track.

Dr. Lai provides superb chiropractic, acupuncture and Chinese herb treatments. I have been under his care for over 6 years and he has been successful in relieving my back, neck and shoulder pain. I suffered a loss of motion to my arm due to slipping on stairs and wrenching my arm. After a few acupuncture treatments, I now have full range of motion in my arm.
Dr. Lai takes the time to discuss your health concerns and you don’t feel rushed or like part of an assembly line. He does not place you on a long term maintenance program or pressure you to continue with his services. I highly recommend Dr. Lai to anyone that is suffering from pain. For me, he has been a miracle!

Dr. Danny Lai is a great physician. He listens to what is important to the patient and makes that his top priority. I went to him for 3 months and with a combination of chiropractic, acupuncture and herbs, I completely got rid of arthritis pain in my hands, and my whole body is in better balance.

Danny Lai is a great guy! I’ve been to many chiropractors and he gets straight to the point and when he did his assessment he was dead on. Knew exactly what to do to fix my strained rotator cuff which has been bothering me for the last few months. He recommended a few sessions, and by the 2^nd session in less than a week it has already been feeling 90% better. I will be going to him from now on!

Very nice office and an even nicer man and staff. It smells wonderful in there! Dr. Lai was very sincere and has a very kind disposition and a great sense of humor. I went in for a chiropractic session for lower back pain and he fixed me right up using chiropractic techniques and skillful acupressure. I went from feeling great pain to nearly no pain at all in just one session. It was very easy to make an appointment, there was no hard sell, I am very satisfied and am looking forward to my next appointment.

If you want to be HEALED, go to Dr. Lai! I had knee pain for 25 years, and Western doctors could not take away the pain. After prescribing meds & supplements that didn’t help, that life-​long pain was cured by Acupuncture. I was rear-​ended by a drunk driver in 2009. The first Chiropractor had a fancy office, assembly line & lots of staff; but he’d see me for about a minute & then charged up all my medical insurance… and I was never healed. Last year, I found Dr. Lai, and he gave me a Chiropractic & NAET treatment (
), and my neck was so much better after the first treatment. After a few treatments, I recovered more from Dr. Lai, than from months of treatment from the previous greedy Chiropractor.
Last month, I was rear-​ended again, but tried another Chiropractor that my Attorney knew. He was just another salesman, who acted like he cared, with a lot of staff and tables setup. The first week, he said he could not adjust me because I was too sore. My x-​rays showed my neck lost its curve, and my vertebrae in my spine were touching, due to muscles torn in the neck & back; so all I got was «physical therapy”= a heat pad with stimulation for 5 days. The 2^nd week, I was getting worse, my neck & back were like cement & I felt crooked. I was getting terrible headaches behind my eyes & became dizzy walking. I would tell the Dr. & he said I needed an MRI so they had to refer me out for an appointment. I did not sleep for these weeks due to the pain in my back & I was exhausted. I told this other Dr. & he wouldn’t even take notes, nor do anything that helped me. The 3^rd week, I wanted to talk to him about my condition worsening, and he was so unprofessional, sitting & talking in the waiting room, and when I was leaving, I told him I was getting worse & all he said was, yes, he’s sending me for an MRI. So I said, that’s it, I’m going to Dr. Lai for a 2^nd opinion. I gave this guy a chance, but I knew Dr. Lai.
So once I told Dr. Lai about my accident, he spent an hour personally doing my intake, asking about my symptoms, testing me, and documenting my injuries. The other Dr. had one of his girls do the intake for about 10 minutes. Then Dr. Lai gave me a thorough Chiropractic treatment, and Acupuncture. Because it was 3 weeks after my accident, my condition was aggravated since the first Dr. only «baked» me. Dr. Lai worked on me personally, with his Chiropractic & Acupuncture expertise for an hour after the intake. He spent more time with me during this first visit, than the other Dr. did in 9 visits. After the first adjustment Dr. Lai gave me, I felt the blood flow through my neck again, and could feel some relief. It has only been 2 weeks, and I don’t have the severe headaches or blurred vision anymore. I know that my neck & back are healing, and guess what? I didn’t need to get an MRI! The first Dr. even said after the MRI, he was sending me to an Orthopedic! I don’t need an Orthopedic either! I just needed a Dr. who wants to use his skills to HEAL me & give me effective treatments, instead of prolong the car accident case for his billing purposes, by prolonging my agony! I don’t know about you, but THAT is what I want to pay for when I go to the Dr. I bought my own heating pad & use it at home myself. I don’t need to pay a Professional to do that for me. If that’s Physical Therapy, I could get paid for that too!
Dr. Lai is very skilled and uses techniques that I have not seen others use. The combination of Acupuncture also helps the body heal instead of just numbing pain. The NAET is also a homeopathic way to cure conditions. We do need Western medicine for emergencies, surgeries, etc. But if you want to balance your body, boost your immunity, and truly HEAL naturally… then go to Dr. Lai. He has many elderly American patients that are tired of the side-​effects of prescription drugs that don’t fix the problem. He is very professional, caring, understanding & ethical in his practices. His office is located by Heritage Square & has a peaceful environment inside. You are not a number and rushed in & out. He listens & addresses your concerns & will TREAT them, not WAIT just so he can make the insurance claim longer (like so many other Chiros). His rates are very reasonable, and you are definitely getting your money’s worth, since he’s trained in 3 specialties in one. He does not try to scare you about your condition to sell his services. He does not try to take advantage of you since you’ve been in a car accident. He does not tell you to do/​buy anything that is not crucial to your health. If you want an honest Dr. who studied & practices for the purpose of HEALING his patients, then go to Dr. Lai & tell your friends!

Dr. Lai is fantastic! I’ve always been skeptical of chiropractors and after visiting one in Ventura really reinforced that thought after they tried to get me to sign up for several months of treatment on the first visit.
A friend recommended Dr. Lai and my opinion completely changed. No hard sell, just straight talk and right to the point, after just a few visits my lower back pain disappeared and I have never felt better. I highly recommend Dr. Lai!

My 83 year old nana was having serious pain in her sciatic nerve. When I say serious pain, I mean she couldn’t walk or do any housework. She fell three times because she couldn’t gain her balance. She went to the doctors but all they prescribed were pain killers that only sometimes worked and really only masked the pain. After two weeks of getting no relief from the doctors, I drove her to Lai and after only one visit she felt tremendously better. Great, honest, prices are reasonable. Have been going on and off for the last 5+ years. Dr. Danny always gets the job done! Great location and nice looking office. State of the art equipment. I will continue to refer all my friends and family here.
