Channel Islands Shell

Great Shell gas location to fill up. It’s very easy to get in & get out. The prices are competitive too to other gas stations in the area. They have a nice convenient store as well. They also restrooms but they were out of order today.

This is a pretty good gas station, with the exception that it’s almost always a bit crowded since its the closest Shell in Port Hueneme. It’s also hard to get out of. I got a failure to yield ticket there because when it’s a busy time of day (like say around 5pm) you kind of have to throw yourself out into traffic or you’ll never get a chance to get out of there. There was a slight pause between lights, I was trying to exit on the channel islands side, and people were beginning to turn right at Ventura Rd to get onto channel islands, and I am told I didn’t leave enough space between me and the car turning (not that there was an accident or anything but they say it could have been). It’s just overall a really difficult corner to get out of. Other than that it’s a good station.

Excellent service all the time, never have they been rude, it just sucks I have to drive a couple miles just to get gas. But I don’t mind they’re employees make every fill up an interesting one, it’s also next to the coin car wash so convenient on those summer days when your car looks like crap and don’t wana run it through a machine wash.
