I enjoyed my second meal there today and plan to repeat the outstanding shrimp and grits which is currently a Friday regular. Other dishes have also been good to excellent. Pricing by weight is actually advantageous if you have a more modest appetite. My meals have been around $ 4, companions around $ 6.

I had heard lots of negative before eating lunch here mainly because of the pricing: $ 10 per pound plate lunch but we had a $ 1 coupon from the campus special app and decided to try it.
I gave it 2 stars because the place really is quite lovely albeit very cold but that was the highlight of our lunch. The atmosphere was very generic, no music, college girls and owner discussing business and not overly friendly. We were the only table in there and they were aware it was our first time.
I was hoping for vegetables and found delicious cream spinach, good potatoes but the other options were dried out looking. The chicken spaghetti was dry and bland. I also tried mini bites of salads that were on buffet but never saw a cracker to eat them on so they might be more enjoyable. Needless to say my plate of small portions still was $ 9.75 so with a drink this less than satisfying lunch was well over $ 10.
My friend had a bite of chicken spaghetti, serving of potatoes and 5 strawberry halves and her meal was over $ 7 and she had to stop at sonic for a corn dog on our way back to work.
Needless to say we will not be adding this into our weekly rotation.
I would like to add that I’ve had their catering at a couple of events and it was great. Just need to figure out pricing a meat and 2 veggies a little better and might would have more of a lunch crowd.
