I was cleaning out a closet the other day and found a gift card to Honey Baked Ham I purchased as a fund raiser from my daughter when she was in middle school almost 9 years ago– and it still had a balance! So as I was driving through Alabama I saw a sign advertising HBH– use the gift card! I have eaten the hams every Christmas– the are great! But I never went into the café for a sit down lunch. I had the classic ham sandwich– chunks of spiral sliced ham, lettuce, tomato and slice of Swiss cheese– I felt like I was at home on December 26! Great meal. Had a bowl of their ham and multi bean soup– like home! Cute place, festive atmosphere and nice staff! However– I am not a fan of honey mustard– made my sandwich a little too sweet– I will opt for some spicy brown deli mustard next time– still have more on that gift card!
