The whole winter, I think to myself, I could really go for some Italian Ice. However, they leave me sad, as the blinds are down at every location. Now, on the first day of spring, I realize, FREERITASONOPENINGDAY! After doing a quick google search, I find a Ritas that’s open. Now, I rush to leave my seat at the almighty Buffalo Wild Wings, and drive to the Ritas that is supposedly open until 10 pm. It’s 9:30, the other Ritas on Reisterstown Road is closed, and I’m getting excited for some free ice. I drive up, only to immediately sink into a deep depression/rage, as I realize what I have been craving is lying to me. I know they can be amazing(thus the 3 stars), but I’m not sure how I can take this betrayal in my life, and may have to seek some other ice, Italian or not, for the burn Ritas has left on my heart.

The world DOES need more Rita’s, namely the west coast/Bay Area. No matter what franchise you go to the flavors are always delicious. My favorite is the juicy pear with vanilla custard but every combination I’ve had have been amazing. The ices come in unique and crazily on point flavors like PB&J and swedish fish– try them all if you can, you won’t be disappointed. Rita’s has my heart and is always on my to do list when I visit Baltimore.
