Nick Of Time Auto

Used to come here all the time and had mixed results. He will tell you to come in a certain day but you call or come in that day and he will blow you off cause he «doesn’t do appointments and never has».
The last straw was when the owner called me and accused me of basically having him replace brake pads for a tiny squeak in my pedal. Meanwhile I never said a damn thing about my pedal being issue, my brakes were squealing up and down the road! He literally called me and was said he wasted all this time and money on me when I never once said a word about the pedal. That was the last straw for me– I won’t be going back.
I was a loyal customer but he always made me feel like I was causing him an inconvenience. The co-​owners or other employees were much friendlier than the owner.

I’ve been coming here for the last 8 years. The owner Nick is wonderful and is the only guy I trust when it comes to my cars. I’ve never had a bad experience. In fact not only does Nick do a good job on the cars but we now also talk about jobs and family. I can’t imagine going anywhere else. I live in Baltimore and drive all the way out to Owings mills passing how many other shops in the process? He will have my business for as long as I live in Maryland.

Owner of this place is money hungry and just doesn’t care. My son was brought here by a AAA towing, so the assumption would be he was honest and respectable… not the case! Did a faulty job replacing studs and lug nuts on my sons car and the tire flew off the car 81 miles after it was put on. The good news is no one was hurt. The next morning when I called the owner to inform him what happened, his only comment was «I take no responsibility».“you rushed me”!!! REALLY… since when is trying to get a time frame rushing!!! It was let me know if the car will be fixed or he’ll take the train home for the holidays!!! He needs to learn the art of communication and honesty!!! Hope no one ever takes advantage of him or his family the way he has with mine!!!

My family and I have been going to Nick’s for years and have always had a great experience. My family and I highly recommend nick of time. Reasonable prices good customer service.

Nick and his guys have been taking care of my car for about the last 2 years or so. I won’t go anywhere else, if I can help it. When I say they take care, that’s what it is. If I was asked to choose one word to describe how Nick runs his shop, it would be «Honest». I don’t know about some of you out there, but I can’t even count how many times I’ve noticed something wrong with my car and I call a shop (in a panic, generally because we all need our cars and we all don’t have tons of money to put into them at the last minute) and attempt to ask questions and you either get rushed off the phone with the infamous statement «well, without seeing the car, I really can’t give you an estimate» or they make you feel like your life is in jeopardy if you drive the car any further. Right there I’m a little concerned about what I might hear when I’m there. Nick doesn’t run his shop that way — he is a wealth of knowledge and knows his business. Can he give you EXACT answers without seeing the car… no, this is true BUT Nick is so nice and patient, he will give you his best professional opinion/​insight, which always includes lots of information and even most of the time a dollar range… SO helpful. For me, I know everytime I ask him a question, I’m getting absolute honesty. I also know everytime I pay for service in his shop, I walk away paying exactly what I should have, not some inflated crazy dollar amount. I really can’t recommend his shop enough. So if you read this and your looking for a class act to take care of your car (s) and want to feel secure that you aren’t being taken advantage of, go see Nick and his team. Not to mention, his shop does seem to service a wide range of issues. Good guys — highly recommend.

I just had my first experience with this auto mechanic shop. I could not have asked for a better environment and Nick was especially helpful working my car into an already busy schedule. I would highly recommend this shop.
