The Chesapeake Bay is known for its unique combination of delicious seafood and charming Southern hospitality. We’ve tried to capture both of these in our products and customer service, allowing you to simply choose and enjoy. We are headquartered in Baltimore so that we can stay connected to the local seafood industry and see first-​hand the bounty of the bay.

While we feature local products as much as we can, we won’t compromise on quality. And we do sometimes go a bit outside our «turf», as it were, to ensure that our product line is diverse enough to serve all of your entertainment food needs.

The most famous denizen of the Chesapeake is the Maryland blue crab. Its sweet, ocean flavor and remarkable versatility make it one of the most prized crabs in the world, and we have a whole line of offerings that use blue crab in all sorts of imaginative ways.

We also serve up huge spoonfuls of Southern charm. Our desserts in particular represent classic Southern flavors, and some are even sourced straight from the families that created them. We strive for authentic flavors, but aren’t afraid to add a modern twist.

History

Established in 1995.

Starting small, as most companies do, we have grown over the years and now have over 30 full-​time and temporary employees. We are part of the Chesapeake Fine Food Group, which also published the Mackenzie, Ltd. and Impromptu Gourmet catalogs.
