AutomotiveSpecialtyTool exists to serve the DIY’er and hobbyist mechanic by providing a marketplace where users can rent specialty automotive tools from others at a fraction of buying new as well as lend those underused tools to others and make a little cash on the side. The owner, Ramzi Vincent, also specializes in the repair, maintenance, and road race preparation of 1994 to 2001 Acura Integras. He has over 17 years of experience with these cars and has been both a moderator and site sponsor of www. Team​-Inte​gra​.net known as TurboLS. He has written several technical articles for the site and is usually the one most sought after for electromechanical issues during the annual Dragon Run event on the North Carolina/​Tennessee border.

Service work is typically 50% of the nearest competitor and that’s because we work part-​time on that front. If you have an engine failure or other major vehicle issue (free diagnosis available as well) and you can afford a little bit of a wait, AST is your best bet for specialized automotive service.

The company has a few NASA-​licensed driving instructors and supports grassroots driving events such as the annual ITR Expo, NSXPO, and West Michigan Honda Meet. Inquire within for driving instruction support for VIR and Mid-​Ohio.

History

Established in 2009.

The company was formed in November 2009, but we didn’t open our digital doors until our website launch during the 2010 SEMA show in Vegas.

Since then, we’ve added more site features and built up a substantial garage where folks can come and learn or hire Ramzi to fix the ailments of their cars.

Over the years, AST has developed quite the expertise and specialty tool cache for use with Honda, Acura, BMW, and Lexus vehicles.

Business Owner

Ramzi is an electrical engineer by degree, but spends at least half of his time fixing, driving, or otherwise fantasizing about cars of all shapes and sizes.

He graduated from the Catholic University of America in 2005 and then promptly started working at a nano material engineering firm until 2008. It was then that Ramzi had the epiphany to start AST.
