History

Established in 1974.

Worth Insurance Group is an Owensboro, Kentucky based family owned insurance agency that has been in business since 1974. Licensed in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, and Ohio, and West Virginia, Worth Insurance Group offers auto, home, business, life, health, employee benefits and financial services with the same core values on which John founded this agency some 30 years ago. His expectations for himself, his children, and his agency family have evolved into our mission statement:

We’re not just making a living, but making a difference with people through serving God; by protecting what he has entrusted to our clients and loving, supporting and equipping each other to do the work God has given us.

Meet the Business Owner

John W.

Business Owner

I started in the insurance business in 1971 after 6 years of teaching high school. In March of 1974, I opened the office of John L Worth Insurance, which is now Worth Insurance Group. For more than 39 years, God has allowed me to work in the business I love. I have been married for 47 years, have two wonderful sons and a professional staff that is like family. Today, at age 70, I still enjoy what God has given me.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, riding my motorcycle, playing golf and supporting my church. I truly enjoy helping people protect the things they’ve word hard to accumulate as well as helping them protect life’s most precious gift – family. I work today not for material gain, but to fulfill God’s purpose.
