Pizza by the Guys

Decent pizza. We ordered a pizza to go and ordered it margarita style with basil tomato and mozzarella. The crust was decent not great. Reminded me of Cici’s Pizza. Ask for the mozzarella and basil it was shredded mozzarella which is fine but the basil was dry basil not fresh basil as they said that it was. Overall taste of the sauce was very bland and almost seemed as if they use crushed tomatoes out of a can with no seasoning. Overall not a great pizza and reminded me more of a Cici’s Pizza

I only seem to eat here on Sundays because there is a buffet which is really good. The place is kinda small so think twice about bringing large groups

We stopped in at 9:15pm on a Sunday night after a long day at Holiday world. We ordered the dirty bread sticks and an extra large pizza. The food was fantastic. It is hard to find a pizza place that produces such a high quality product these days. I highly recommend Pizza by the Guy to anyone looking for a great Pie. Don’t go to a chain restaurant. Give these guys a try. You won’t be dissatisfied. I am going back tonight.

Pizza by the Guys, it’s in the crust. This is very true! The crust was to die for! The best unseasoned crust I’ve ever had! Slightly crunchy outside, super chewy inside! The best!!!
The store had a problem with my order, and very promptly called me to clarify! Very professional! Granted, the delivery did take a long time, but it was WELL worth it. I really like the fact that I could order extra plates, napkins, etc at no extra charge. They even had a «new customer pak» online that I could have sent over with the pizza.
All in all, if I’m ever in Owensboro again, I will definitely order this establishment again! A+

This is and was the only place that my family and friends would ever buy their pizza from… until about a week ago. I want to start off saying two things… One, the owner, Adam, is an amazing person. He’s kind, friendly, and helpful. People like him is why my friends and family kept coming back. Two… In two years of ordering from this place, I had only complained one time, and Adam quickly fixed the problem. Okay, now to why I’m here… (And I’ve called to speak to Adam three times since, and was hung up on each time)…
My family ordered a pizza the other night. It got here. It was burned around the crust, and the garlic dips that we paid for was missing. I called the store back and was treated nicely by a young lady who told me to hold for the manager, Billy. I told him my problem. He told me that was impossible for the pizza to be burned unless they ran it through twice, he said «I just don’t believe it»… I told him that he was more then welcome to pick up the pizza if he would send us out a new one, to show that it was indeed burnt. He asked if any of it had been eaten. I told him that I gave my five year old a slice of the less burned piece, my baby was hungry and had already waited 45 minutes on delivery. Billy replied «well I find it hard to believe that it’s burnt «…Again I told him that he could have the pizza back. He said «there’s nothing I’m going to do to help you, I believe you’re lying «…That’s when I got angry and asked when Adam would be in. I told him that I knew Adam pretty well with as much as we’ve ordered, his reply was a very smart ellic remark, saying «Yeah, I bet you do, you’ve complained before».. I replied «I’ve complained once, in two years! «. He laughed at me, said «well I’m not helping you» and hung up on me. I called right back. I wanted his name. He heard it was me and hung up on me again. Again, I called back. The young lady answered. I was pretty angry at this point and asked her for her manager’s name. She sweetly said, «I’m so sorry, his name is Billy»… She asked me what was going on. While I was talking to her he snatches the phone from her, says «Talk to Adam «and hangs up on me. I’ve called three times since to be told Adam isn’t there, and hung up on. So here I am.
Never have I been treated so poorly by a restaurant employee, especially someone who is supposed to be a manager and represent the owner’s establishment. As long as he is there, my friends and family will never order from there again… and we order quite a bit monthly. Adam, I apologize to you. I’ve tried to reach you many times, and wasn’t allowed to talk to you. You are a wonderful person and I hate that you have someone representing your place of business such as this man. He truly does not care… I should have never been treated this way, even offering to come to HIM and bring him the pizza back… He just didn’t care. Hopefully one day we can return to our favorite pizza place, but not as long as he’s there. This review would have been a lot different and a 5 star under normal circumstances. Thank you.

What can I say, it is Pizza… I have only eat’n the buffet at the East location. There is something more there than just the food that makes this place: the employees are friendly… the atmosphere is very small town café… And I always leave satisfied.
