Kroger

This is my favorite Kroger in town. I don’t like going during the day, I usually go in the evenings 7 or 8 they are open 24 hours. If you go at night make sure to say hi to Blake or Cody they are the greatest staff members there

Newly remodeled, easy to navigate aisles and friendly staff what more could you ask for.

I moved from Owensboro to the Chicago area decades ago and I’ve learned not to expect to find many items I’m accustomed to in Chicagoland when I’m visiting back home. But this Kroger surprised me! I found Lifeway kefir, Yogi teas, tahini, and all kinds of ‘natural’ /‘health’ food items. No searching for a specialty store.
We were in and out of this store several times buying items for ourselves or my parents. We had no trouble finding what we were looking for. The store seems very clean and looks up-​to-​date. The aisles are wide. The store is bright but not so fluorescent as to be annoying. Cashiers were always friendly. I like it better than my local Chicagoland Jewel.
My only complaint is that we never went into or out of the store without getting hit in the face with cigarette smoke. *cough* Please move the smokers away from the doors.
I remember when the lot upon which Kroger is built was the Starlite Drive In. :)
