i went in for an oil change. I had to get Pennzoil because the dumb ass helping me could not figure out how to ring up Castroil!!! Dumb and dumber work here. Advise that you do not trust them with anything beyond an oil change and as you can see, that wasn’t fully within their ability.

One of the tires was installed inside out and none of them were balanced correctly. It really shouldn’t take 3 visits to get tires installed. I am going to give up on pep boys and have the dealer fix their mistakes. I will never go here again, for anything.

So I tried to set up an appointment on line but the website would not let me accomplish this even after numerous tries. So I call the store and am told for any advertised discount I must make appointment on line. I tried to explain that that was impossible I have tried multiple times and I was then told that I must set up, bla bla bla… anyway with that, I then called tires plus and got a better deal anyway. This would have been my first time purchasing at pep boys and now that first time will never happen. They need to get a clue about how to take care of potential customers. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Went in for an oil change. Made an appointment for 8 am — the first time slot available for that day. Arrived at 7:45 am and dropped off my car. By 3:30 pm I had not received a call that it was done. Stopped by to check and see what the issue was and saw that they had my vehicle on the rack. 45 minutes later I was able to finally able get my keys and leave. Will never do business at this facility again. BTW this was not the first time it took this long, but since they are so close thought I would give them another chance. Big mistake on my part. I don’t recommend doing business at this place.

These dudes don’t even try to hide the fact that they’re scheming, thieving, lying, good for nothing assholes. Awful customer service would have been an upgrade. Our ac stopped working in our van a few weeks ago then just the other day i received a «free ac system evaluation» coupon in the mail from this sorry ass, pathetic excuse for mechanics employing establishment. When I brought the van in the guy who helped me was less than helpful, i was telling him that the owner of the van is a mechanic and we just need to know what the diagnostic reads as the problem. He then asked if i wanted the leak evaluation or the free ac check. I said” I want what this coupon is for, an ac system evaluation «i tried to show him the coupon didn’t want to see the coupon at all told me it was gonna take at least an hour. Then almost 2 hours later i received a phone call from the cashier kid who clearly has zero knowledge of vehicles, that they weren’t able to get a reading on it and that i needed to pay for the leak evaluation to figure it out. So I asked for the manager. After being on hold for about
8 mins, Austin got on the phone and said i would need to come back up there with the coupon. I live very close by so I was there in less than 10 minutes. When i got there“Austin „had clocked out and left already and the“ supervisor» on duty knew nothing about the situation.. Funny since i was told by Austin to bring the coupon so he could look at it. Of course the supervisor told me that the coupon was for the“free ac check «so they called it. well the other one which costs $ 56 (i believe) they had been calling «ac system evaluation «which is EXACTLY What my coupon said.

The service in this location is horrible. It took them over 3 hours to change a battery. Not to mention they have rude staff that mkes inappropriate comments in front of customers. They said they would call when my car was ready but never did and would have kept my car over night had I not gone in to get it and check what was going on. Do yourself a favor a do not take your car there, you will waste valuable time and money.

I called for a quote and got blown off because they were busy. The guy told me to drive there to get a quote for a common repair. They are the closest shop near me so had to give them a shot. It appears they still do not hire enough personal, also a few of them are complete jerks, the guy that answered the phone can be included, see past reviews mine and others.
So I called another Pep Boys and they quoted me a price of $ 340 for work I got done elsewhere for $ 210. This tells you something about Pep Boys.
So in this case not giving me a quote and forcing me to drive there to get one at PepBoys really would have been a complete waste of my time. but this PepBoys doesn’t care. I could have drove over there and stood there for an hour without any one responding, glad I remembered the last experience I had.
Since they are in Oviedo I understand completely. Oviedo is full of restaurants and shops that are like Pep Boys. We have a large amount of residents with a lot of money, many with no idea what you should pay for anything. So they over pay!!! Pep Boys is just doing what they can get away with in this five chicken town.
One star for no estimate.

Here again for a furniture adjusted in my tire. Bummer. So I called pep boys and was even able to send Justin a picture from my phone!!! That was awesome service!!! Richard and Jack helped me out when it got here. They were very knowledgable on specials and helped me out big time. I tried to tip them for it but they refused continuously. So here I am watching football Sunday with a cup of coffee watching the game. Life is good. Justin stopped by to introduce himself and let me know what was going on. So happy I live close to here. Guys are genuine and honest, not money maker mechanics who tell you everything is wrong! I will always stop here first! Thanks guys!

I wish I could evaluate this Pep Boys location based on their work but unfortunately they never got around to working on my car because they «must have forgot about it» — per the manager.
I made an appointment for a simple tire patch and was told they would call me as soon as it was finished. Cut to 4 hours later, at closing time, I still haven’t received a call about my car. Since I depend on my vehicle to get to work and back every day, I decided to go over to the store to find out what the status was. It was 5 minutes after closing time and 2 mechanics were still in the shop closing up. I asked about my vehicle and neither mechanic knew anything about it — what needed to be done, what had been done, nothing. I asked the mechanic more questions and was told «that’s above my pay grade.» Then I asked to speak to a manager and to have my car taken off the lift and removed from the garage so that I could take it to another repair shop in the morning. Meanwhile the other mechanic was clearly annoyed that we were there. He went out and sat in his car (probably had to wait until the manager was done closing up so he could leave) then he pulled up his huge vehicle right to where we had been standing for 25 minutes and shined the brights on us –WTF– while sitting in the truck and shooting the breeze with the other mechanic. Both were clearly annoyed that I had the gall to come and inquire about my car which was in for a simple tire patch.
Then I waited 45 minutes to speak to the manager. He told me they «probably just forgot about you» and I said well obviously. I asked it this was a typical experience that other customers could expect from his business. He gave me a card with «free oil change ok» scribbled on it which I doubt I will use. What a waste of everyone’s time.
If you want to get your car repaired at a shop that employs professional, customer-​friendly people, skip this place.
UPDATED: took my car to the Tuffy Auto Service Center on E. Colonial at noon and 15 minutes later received a phone call confirming there was one nail in one tire and it’s ready to be picked up. Now that’s good service.
All Pep Boys would have had to do was call me and give me the status of the repair for me to be a happy customer. Being forgotten and then given rude service when you check in is just unacceptable. I don’t like to waste my time and money on lazy, unprofessional, inconsiderate customer service.

After my car died requiring me to leave it stranded in a parking lot over night, I managed to get it started and brought it here simply because it was the easiest place to get to.
I came in and requested an oil change and to have my starter tested, as I was 99% sure that was the issue. After being told that it more than likely wasn’t, and my battery was likely the problem (not likely, it’s a year old). They go back to do the oil change and test. An hour and a half later, they forgot to run the test on the starter, but surprise! The battery is fine. I’m given a list of other things wrong with my car but told the starter is just «chaotic». After authorizing the repair on the cracked radiator hose, I wait for another hour for that to be repaired only for them to come out and tell me that my car won’t start yet again and the starter needs to be replaced.
This entire ordeal felt like a bait and switch. I’m not mad about having to have repairs done on the car, seeing as my car is 9 years old and hasn’t needed much work other than to replace the ignition and the locking mechanism in the drivers door. Repairs are expected and I knew this would happen at some point. I’m mad because I told the employees that it was my starter, I was told I was wrong, the test was conveniently forgotten, and what should have taken maybe two hours at the most (which is what my normal mechanic at home said) it took more than 3.
I will never bring my car back into this place for even so much as an oil change, because this was ridiculous.

I’m sitting here watching the mechanic chat and joke around with an off duty employee as I wait. It’s really disappointing in the lack of professionalism and disregard for my valuable time. I also went out
Of the way to have an appointment to minimize my loss of time and thy were 45 minutes late getting my truck in. Why even make an appointment then. I will not be back here.

Kenny and Jack both really helped me out. Jack was able to get me a really good price on tires and struts.
My car had really bad tires and my alignment was way off so the inside sounded like I was driving a train due to the tire noise. After the great work Kenny did, the ride feels a lot more smooth, the tire noises are gone and my cars handling is a lot better.

I returned to this store about a week or so later for yet another tire issue, and to my surprise, it was grand opening day. Everyone was gracious, upbeat, and speedy. I was in and out of the shop in 45 minutes. I am glad they could redeem themselves. :)
