Specialties
Little Otters Swim Academy is dedicated to teaching children to swim and be safer in and around the water. Offering instruction at your home pool or at another host pool in and around East Orange and Seminole Counties.
Children over the age of 14 months are taught to swim-float-swim. This training is taught with their face in the water using arms and legs to propel. When the child needs air he/she is taught to roll to a float and rest and breathe. The child then flips back to a horizontal, face in, swim position and swims to a parent, wall or steps. This process is repeated in laps.
Children 6 months to walking (approximately 14 months) are taught a «roll-to-float». This is purely for survival purposes, should the child have a fall into a body of water. The back f loat provides precious time for the child to be retrieved from the water.
One on one private lessons are held Monday through Thursday and are about 15 minutes in length. Your child will be skilled in 4 – 6 weeks.
