The BrewTop Pub and Patio

Atmosphere was great. Came here for drinks only. Beautiful summer night on the rooftop patio. The waitress gave me a beer list and said they don’t offer all the beers on the list on the rooftop so I would have to order it down stairs, that was disappointing. I ordered a Tank 7 and my husband ordered a KC Bier Co Hefeweizen. Both beers tasted very flat and tepid. We know good beers and these were not. I sent my Tank 7 back and the waitress didn’t ask why or what was wrong with the beer. My husband works at a local brewery and thought maybe the beer draft lines needed to be cleaned.

Decent bar for the happy hours. 1 $ domestic beers is a killer deal for people who likes American beer. Food is good too. Tried the appetizer plate and the chicken tenders which were super juicy. May not be a great place for dates but a nice one for the happy hours. Would definitely visit again! :)

I’m pretty meh about BrewTop.
Located in big suburbia, OP, BrewTop almost feels a little cheap compared to its surroundings. It’s huge, has a commercial chain-​y feel, and lacks uniqueness. It’s a cookie cutter sports bar… boring, boring, boring.
Of course boring doesn’t mean BAD. They have local brews on tap (Martin City, KCBC, Boulevard seasonal) and prices are standard. We missed HH by just a few minutes but definitely go before 6pm for the $ 3 beers. The food was average, but daily specials mean that you can at least get something for fairly cheap (I got a Reuben for 6.99).
Service is average. Not particularly helpful, not particularly rude.
Yawn. I’m almost getting bored writing this review. To summarize: go to BrewTop if you want cheap drink specials before 6pm and you’re conveniently in the area. Otherwise, there are plenty of other places in OP for good beer.

It’s an awesome place. Food was great. Their tap beers are awesome … We had fun. They have live music too. Ambience is good. They have pool table and stuffs … Waffle fries were awesome.

First time visit, and we enjoyed. Good, attentive, and fast service. Thank you, Ruthie. Food was also good too. Quesadilla is Hugh. Several specials going on. Lots of TVs and excellent beer choices. I want to check out the live music. Asked about it, but could not get details.
Visited again, today for Sunday lunch. Sat and ate at the bar. I like this place. Will make it my go to spot for football and beer. Would have been a 5 score, but burger over cooked. Ordered it Med with some pink. Came well done. All good otherwise.

We had a party of five and my beer was never empty before I got another but the 3 ladies at our table weren’t as fortunate. We all shared a carnivore pizza and nachos which were both pretty good. The nachos had a mountain of chips that didn’t have enough toppings. It was like eating a bag of Tostitos and occasionally finding a jalapeño or something. Lastly, our waitress came over at about 7:30 and said she had to go roll silverware and asked us to tab out which was not a problem but we never saw another waitress until we left at 9. Overall, just average all the way around.

The food here is amazing… The service however sucks. The waitresses are very rude. It makes the experience unpleasant.

Came in tonight around 10:45 for some drinks since we were all on break from college.
Our server Kimberly (blonde) was very rude to us from the very beginning. We sat down and the first thing she asked us was“Are you gonna be a responsible party?” We managed to laugh it off and not think too much of it, as we are all 21.
We paid for our first round, all but one in cash and she spouts off, «You know you have to tip, right? I’m not trying to be an asshole, but we normally charge 5% to tip on tab. I mean, I’m good at what I do and I’m not gonna pay to bring your drinks to you.»
While in shock as to the way we are being treated, we all said that we have every intention to tip (even though we showed up ready to tip). As we finished our second round, she walked up to us and asked, «Are you gonna stay a while? Promise you won’t bail on me.» Again, we tried to laugh it off, not knowing really how to respond to her comments. Then we decided that we should just close everything out and move to the bar because we didn’t want to have to work with her anymore.
As another person in my party was leaving the bathroom, she heard Kimberly speaking with another server, «I hate when people don’t realize this is also a restaurant and they are always passive about tipping» after we had already generously tipped her 25%.
All in all, Kimberly was a total buzzkill, so we left. I was severely unimpressed for my FIRST visit to brew top. If I could give it 0 stars, I would.

This is a great place to catch a game or just enjoy happy hour. The rooftop bar is great during the summer time. Service can sometimes be a little hit or miss. They usually have live music on the weekends. Great place for Sunday Funday.

This is not the place to go if you are an out of town sports fan. My son and I showed up 90 minutes before our football team played on Sunday and let them know we were to watch the Giants. The waitress (who was very nice) confirmed what tv would show our game. The manager had two guys at the bar complain so he changed our game. When I asked what happened he said that’s what happens in KC. Then he pointed to a he dark tv in the corner and told me my game was on over there. This was across the bar where there were no tables available.
My family and friends were coming to join us for dinner and we had them meet us somewhere else for dinner.
Cross this one off your list. A real sports bar labels there Tv’s prior to people showing up so that you know which games will be on which Tv’s. This eliminates the Manager picking customers.
Needless to say my 8 year old die hard Giants fan left this place very upset.

We went here for Wednesday $.60 Wing Night. I ordered 15 wings. Regular buffalo, garlic parm, and spicy bbq. They were delicious. My wife ordered the buffalo wrap and she really enjoyed it as well.
The server was awesome. She was very attentive and friendly. She was great with my kids also! As far as the prices go… wow, prices extremely economical for south OP. I don’t think any item on the menu was over $ 10! I will definitely be back.

Awesome food! I had the black and blue burger and wing dip as an appetizer!
It was a highway robbery to charge me an additional 0.50 cents for two tomato slices and a piece of lettuce. Otherwise, excellent food for a fair price.

Showed up on a Sunday afternoon and were greeted relatively quickly at our table. After a few minutes we ordered a couple wraps with house made chips and tots. The waitress was friendly enough and went to put in our order. She came back and was chatting with another table and when she finished I called her over and told her I wanted the waffle fries instead. While waiting on our food we went to play a game of pool. Eventually she came and told us or food was on the table but they had already dropped the tots so I was stuck with that. We just ordered a side of waffle fries. The food was decent for slightly upscale bar food and the atmosphere was pretty chill.

I’ve given this place a few tries. I want to like it. The food is decent. It is in a great location and close to home. However, what is this place? A disco? A sports bar? A nightclub? Restaurant? Concert venue (they have bands that play there too). Singles Bar?
Don’t plan on trying to talk to anyone — it is too loud. Really bad acoustics. Service was slow. Waitresses were slow each time I have been there. The tv’s are numerous and big so great for viewing sports, but they play music constantly so you can’t actually listen to the games you might want to watch.
If the service was better and the acoustics were improved so it wasn’t so loud this place would perhaps get better reviews.

Showed up on a Friday night after 10 pm for a drink. There was a good size crowd upstairs and inside. Looked nice enough. Found a table but left after 20 minutes of sitting waiting to order a drink. I guess a good place to hang out if your not thirsty.

For a place called BrewTop, I would think they would have more than domestics or any ol’ regular everyday beer on tap. They had a decent bottle selection however. But if you’re coming here for beer, I think you could do much better elsewhere. Didn’t try the food because the waitress sucked so bad. God have mercy on anyone who get the delight of a waitress Holly is. She was the single worst waitress I’ve ever had. Rude, never smiles, and entirely unhelpful. She got a zero dollar tip from all of us. Thing is: if you’ve never waited before, I’ll tip. If you are a bad server, I’ll tip. Hell, if you never come by the table often at all but at least ask how we are doing, I’ll give you a tip. But if you are THIS HORRIBLE, I will give you nothing. I will not be coming back, and I will advise everyone I know to do the same.

I ordered the build-​your-​own (BYO) burger with fries ($ 6.99 on Mondays) and a drink ($ 2.25) at the table. My order was delivered with a smile in about 12 minutes. The burger included 8 ounces of Angus beef, choice of cheese, and up to seven toppings. The bun was buttered, and lightly-​toasted. The beef was delicious, and the toppings were fresh, and plentiful. The fries were also good, but just slightly warm. The restaurant was clean, and new, with classic rock music playing.

Went to Brewtop for a party in the back room. The waitress was a little rude and I was told there are 36 beers on tap and 24 in bottles but NO LIST so just ask. So I did, for several different kinds none of which they had. Who offers 60 beers and doesn’t have a MENU???
The food was great however and it looks like they have a good happy hour so I’m sure we’ll be back for that at least.

Went here for work function on a Friday afternoon they were pretty busy and our server had a tough time keeping up with us. We ordered appetizers and they were really good. They have a buffalo style chip platter which was really tasty. And their chicken strips were delicious.
Pretty cool game room with video games and a pool table.
Once the waitstaff gets rhythm then I’m sure it will be a great place.

Excellent pub food and good specials.
A few co workers and I tested out this new location in Corbin Park and very much enjoyed ourselves. Our waiter had full knowledge of the drink specials, kept our water glasses full, and continued to check in on us throughout the night – we were there for four hours. I’m not too sure if they run this special every evening, but single wells and draft beers were $ 2 on the Monday evening we were there. I ordered the chicken tender basket at the end of the night, and it was delicious. The chicken strips were plump and lightly battered, and the waffle fries were cooked just the same. They also have an arcade room, along with a pool table. They have upstairs patio and ground floor patio seating as well.
