History

Established in 1999.

Started in June 1999, Skyway Networks began as a shared web site hosting & web site development company. After constructing our first data center in downtown Kansas City, Missouri in 2002, we expanded our line of services to include co-​located & dedicated server hosting. By 2004, we had outgrown the Kansas City data center and moved to another data center we built in Overland Park, Kansas in 2004. At that time, our services expanded further into providing encrypted email services using the Zimbra platform, application hosting, and virtual private server (VPS) hosting as a VMware cloud service provider.

Information Technology expert with deep knowledge & experience in multiple IT disciplines including W3C standards compliant web site & application development, an in-​depth skill set in VMware vSphere, Linux, Unix, and Windows server administration, wired & 802.11 wireless («Wi-​Fi») network design & deployment, data center management, and database administration.

I’m adept at rapidly pinpointing root causes of technology problems for customers and implementing economical solutions using a blend of commercial & open source software. I also excel at translating complex technical topics into plain spoken lay terms for effective communication so that customers can more effectively make informed decisions.
