After all the great help we received at Acme Flooring, this place really left a bad taste in my mouth.
You have to get past the old lady at the front desk and an odd display of walnuts for sale, to even have access to the «showroom.» Once in the showroom, a short guy appears and mumbles something about usually dealing directly with the builder. He had zero interest in showing us samples. On that note, we left.
First of all, we do have a builder and would be happy to let him make the final purchase. Secondly, businesses need to realize this is a new age. An age when consumers, due mostly to the Internet, are more savvy then ever. We are doing the research, we are buying directly, we are comparison shopping. Consumers are involved and no longer standing on the sidelines letting someone else make our decisions. We want to be involved and have control over the items we purchase.
I guess selling 2,500 square fit of wood is just no big deal in this economy.
The middle man is dead. Get with the program.
