5 stars for the great food! 3 stars for the pub. So I took the average and gave them a 4 overall.
Burgers at Roni’s Pub were Rockstar! Juicy & flavorful BIG ½ pounders! Maybe the BEST flat top burgers with a perfect crust in town! There were 12 people in our group and everyone had a burger. ALL AGREED it was one of the best they’d had in years! I split one with someone and they insisted on well done (i prefer medium). Even cooked to death (haha) it was still VERY juicy & full of beef flavor! Lots of great topping options too! We got ours with bacon, cheese & a fried egg! Oh, and Monday is BOGO on any burger!
The tenderloin might be the BEST in the city also! Onion rings & fries were also very good, but not first class like the burgers & tenderloin sammies! The fried chicken sandwich looks great and is on special Wednesdays. Very reasonable prices plus nightly food specials.
Our server was a sweetheart! But this is a small neighborhood dive bar that happens to serve great good! She did her best but service was average and some minor mistakes were made. In her defense, I would guess she’s never waited on a 12 top before and any mistakes made were corrected immediately! She was also the only waitress and it was busy. The bartender was trying to help, but they were both overwhelmed. Still both were very friendly! Just know that you’re going there for great food, NOT great service. The pub was very clean, but most furniture was old and mismatched.
A true dive bar but we liked it and will crave the food till we go back again & again & again & again! Give them a try! You will LOVE the food!

Great place to relax and enjoy a good burger. Service is quite fast and friendly. Wouldn’t say it’s kid friendly, but it’s not unfriendly either. My son, who turns two in a few weeks, enjoyed the beer battered fries and a few bites of my tenderloin.

Went into Roni’s Pub on a whim tonight after reading the Unilocal reviews. Was not disappointed! Jake, our server, was great. Beer cheese soup (as you will see from the photo i attach) was excellent and the buffalo chicken sandwich was wonderful. Glas we stopped in. Looks like a bunch of regulars at the bar and just a few random people scattered throughout. Hubby and i will be back to play pool.

I’ve been a frequent visitor here for several months. This is a great dive bar, and in this context, dive bar is absolutely meant in great terms. Beyond the inviting and relaxed atmosphere, the bartenders and servers are very welcoming with great personalities. They, alone, make you want to come back. As a «foodie», though, my favorite part is the menu they offer. It is a bar menu, but not totally your typical bar fare. I’ve only tried the HUGE pork tenderloin (on sale for only 6.95 on Saturdays, btw), but also the incredibly flavorful and juicy pork chop dinner. However, what finally got me to post a review is what I ordered tonight. The calamari appetizer was spectacular. Pan fried in garlic sauce, and served with jalapenos, cherry peppers, and pepperoncinis, this enormous portion was more than worth the 9.95. And best of all, not one single piece was cooked long enough to be chewy. I had mine served with 2 sauces, and even as I got full, I just couldn’t stop eating. SO incredibly worth coming in, even just for this plate alone!

Looked somewhat sketchy from the outside and had some more than gently used frunishings. Regardless the food was good, better than what I expected quality wise and the rose was good. Service was nice but not overly attentive.

The food was surprisingly good! Service was a little slow since there was only 1 server and she was also the bartender. I’m sure we will be back sans kids and sit in the bar are. The fries were amazing!

Great food, service, and friendly people! My boyfriend is very picky when it comes to food quality and service. Roni’s had all of the above. We brought our 1 year old son in for dinner and everyone was very friendly. The specials were great as well. Overall, definitely coming back!

Just wanted to let everyone know if you ever have a problem with anything in this, bar food or service, Vicki is the one to talk to. She is the best bartender they have. she genuinely cares about her customers, her job, and the quality of food and service that the bar puts out.

This could not have been a worse dining experience. I brought all 5 of my employees here for our hour long lunch. We ordered 4 different burgers, tenderloin and chicken fried chicken. It took 35 MINUTES to get our food. All burgers were ordered medium and med rare. They all came out WELL done and I didn’t even bother eating mine. The bacon was nearly raw. The tenderloin and chicken were both burnt on the bottom side. The green beans were like wax covered rubber. When I tried to inform the waitress of this she stormed off mid sentence to get the «cook» to come talk to us. When i showed him the issues he just said «fine I’ll just take care of it» and walked away. What a disgrace. I’ll never be back here to eat!

The taco Tuesday special (starting at $ 0.75 for beef hard shell) is a great deal. The chicken was chunky, plentiful, and tasted like it was grilled. There was also plenty of shredded cheese and fresh veggies. The salsa was mild, and chunky. The service from the young lady was excellent (friendly, cheerful, and attentive). The interior was not fancy, but clean, with a mix of different music styles in the background, and plenty of TVs. Nicely done!

Super friendly neighborhood bar, with everyone on a first-​name basis. The Calamari was excellent, as were the local Kansas beers. I wasn’t too thrilled about the garbage can located right up to the bar, but Dustin was a superb bartender, and the other customers were very friendly. Tuesday nights are a great time for Tito’s Tuesdays: discounts on vodka drinks. Highly recommended.

We came across this place via Groupon and had an excellent experience. We enjoyed the Beer Cheese Soup — licked the bowl clean good. The hamburgers were quality and fries were delicious. The calamari was top notch. This is not your typical bar and grill food. The wait staff was very attentive and knew their menu. The owner mentioned new items are being added to the menu. This is not your typical from the freezer to your table restaurant. Highly recommend!

I have been to Roni’s a million times now and I have always had a great time! The food is absolutely delicious, we have had the caprese, salmon, burgers, fries, and even porkchop! All awesome. The drinks are cheap and the staff is really friendly. They asked us what they could do to improve! Very cool to give input. TVs and even karaōke on Thursdays make Roni’s very fun. We will definitely go back.

I would like to start with saying that I think Roni’s has great drink specials, delicious food, fun atmosphere, and friendly staff for the most part! I have been to the bar a few times now and really love it.
Every time I have been there the service has always been great. However, two weekends ago we had a group of friends up there that kept growing, so we had to switch tables a couple times, making sure to tell the waitress, and staying in her section. If I were a waitress I would be happy about more people coming, because that means more money in my pocket. She then proceeds to come to us, explain that we are her only table left, and she was told she could leave. She asked us if we wanted to tip out with her, or have our tab transferred to the bar. Well, personally I don’t want to run my card twice. So, I asked her if she would get part of the tip, and she explained to us that the bar tender offered to tip her 20% on our current tab, out of her pocket so that it was no hassle. I asked if she could bring me my tab, and I would just tip her (because I didn’t think she deserved 20%) on the total and then she could just transfer it. She was hesitant, so I asked what was easier for her. She responded with, «I don’t care, I’m just trying to get out of here.» With a very negative attitude. At that point I looked at her and said just transfer it.
I thought that was incredibly rude, especially to a group that was eating and drinking there and probably spending close to 350 to 400 in a night. When it was time to go, we asked for our tabs and they were all messed up. She had separated them, but they were all mixed up and confusing. So, the bar tender was very calm and patient with us, so that nobody felt screwed over with what they were paying. I will be returning to your bar because it is a good place to hang out, fantastic drink specials,($ 2 beers on Friday night) and the food is not only delicious but a great price ($ 6 nachos also Friday). I will do absolutely everything in my power to not sit in Janelle’s section though!

Technically, Roni’s is the closest restaurant to my house. It’s pretty new and I know it’s more of a bar than a restaurant, so this was my first time there. On Tuesday they have 75c tacos, which is a pretty good deal, plus they had some good drink specials for the World Series.
The place is clean, but the décor gives you a bit of a grimey feeling. It always grosses me out a bit when there’s supplies sitting out on one of the tables and stuff like that. It’s definitely a place that’s probably better with the lights turned down low.
Our waitress had some super-​short shorts on and although she did her job, you felt a little bit like maybe they probably are expecting more male patronage than female.
The tacos were good for a bar & grill, about what you’d expect. The drinks were fine too. I think our tab was about $ 12 for 2 cocktails and 6 tacos, so you get what you pay for.
I’d go back, but I’m not going to be there everyday.

Can’t recommend the Fried Chicken Sandwich more! Staff was friendly and accommodating. Our server even knew where the tomatoes on the sandwich were grown. Prices are what you would expect for less quality in food and service! Highly recommend.

I had the Ultimate Fried Chicken Sandwich and wife had a BLT. The bartender suggested adding a fried egg and cheese to the BLT. It was great! We came for lunch and were surprised by the food. Great lunch specials and happy hour, too! The girl behind the bar gave me a coupon to use for a free appetizer.
.75 tacos Tuesday night! Count me in.

Excellent drink specials and great environment for happy hour and late night social outings. Most of the bartenders are top notch. Vicki and Robert on Friday night have outstanding service for a usually busier bar. Emily and Kaily keep an upbeat ambience going around for everyone. Dustin, the less attentive and often dull personality, is definitely the weakest link. But, all in all, the bar offers a small community feel and approachable atmosphere. Scott, the owner, seems to be a very «aim to please» individual. Now to hit some randoms: the food is usually quality, parking could be alittle better, bathrooms are kept-​up, music is diverse, the barstools are crap, TVs are abundant, pool tables/​sticks are average, the karaōke is better than the bands, patio is subject to all elements, and clientele is predominately nice.

Just opened. We had the Calamari & Caprese Salad. Both were different than I’ve had, yet still very tasty. We will be back.

Roni’s pub and kitchen is now open! First day still getting things put together but its great! Margarita and an awesome burger :) yum! A bunch of tvs!!! great stereo system, pool tables, and the smell of fresh paint for now! :) Light and airy in here also. The owner scott is so nice and the bar tender vicki is great! Margarita was bomb and burger was delicious! Come up to roni’s pub and kitchen stat!
