History
Established in 2005.
Starting in planning, hosting and DJing university club gatherings in 2005, I soon started doing weddings. Then in 2008 I was recruited for a job as a youth and young adult leader in as the Director of Large Event Coordinations, where I oversaw band development, marketing strategies and design, planning and executing all elements of event cohesion, and creative set up. Praise reports came back as 100% improvement! I was soon bounced around the company to do the same for several branches. Throughout this entire time dating back to college, I was lead vocalist and band leader for several teams, giving me a special edge on performance and stage presence, effectively positioning me to be a successful DJ and wedding singer! In 2010 Raise the Barr DJ services was born, and in 2012 «services» was dropped to become Raise the Barr DJ & Photo Booth. Building a one of kind booth was just the latest on my creative me endeavors. I am launching my a new service as wedding and event planner!

Most of my path is mapped out in the history of the business, since the history is me! I’m a husband, father, student, current Mr. Mom, volleyball and soccer coach, and part time singer. I grew up in Florida, spent high school in Boulder, CO, returned to Florida and did a couple years at FSU, then headed north to Maryland for a job in youth leadership, event coordinating, and marketing design. After meeting my lovely bride we headed to do collegiate leadership with the same company at USC (SC) for a final year. In 2012 we moved to Kansas and started a family, where I returned to school at KU and the business took a quick rise in success! Now planning and offering photo booth rentals, Raise the Barr DJ & Photo Booth (and planning: name TBD) is flourishing and bringing smiles to happy celebrators everywhere!
