Amazing sandwiches made fast and fresh. Toasted to golden perfection piled high with meats and all the veggies. Don’t miss out on the hot peppers. Save room for the fresh baked goodness waiting for you at the register.

The meatball sub there is so good in the staff is very friendly. I’ve only been there once but I’m excited to go back! It was delicious and they were very friendly and extremely clean!

They have terrible service. 3 employees on site, 10 people waiting to be serviced, two sitting on break. I was on break myself waiting to be served, the two on break mocked my impatience and irritation. An employee named Jason seemed to be the one in charge. I don’t know who hires these disrespectful individuals to work for them. But they are representing the company poorly.

This Potbelly location was very disappointing. It is a completely soul less suburban location, with service befitting it’s location. The employees here on the Sunday I visited would much rather have been somewhere else. I asked if I could get a sandwich with turkey and ham(which I have done in the past at other Potbelly locations with no issue) and the employee basically told me «I know what you want, but that’s not an option.» Really? I think you could figure it out. Most of the seating here is hightop tables, so if they are busy, you might have trouble finding somewhere to sit with a high chair.

Stopped in for a weekend dinner. Service was super friendly and alternative to our questions. Normally I wouldn’t point it out but here is was very well done. I got the Grilled Chicken and Cheddar while she go the Italian. Both were pretty good. We split an order of the cheddar soup and found it very nice. Special note: This place is located smack dab in the middle of a huge office park and the parking for the store is a bit odd. I have to imagine during a work day this place is slammed to the hilt and hard to get in and out of so showing up on a Saturday evening was ideal.

The place was packed when we got there but the line moved very quickly. There was a guy playing guitar and it was good music. The atmosphere was great and not what we expected for a sandwich shop. We got the Italian sandwich with the Italian seasoning which was very yummy and filling. I was only able to eat half and saved the rest for dinner.

Giving 4 stars for the food which was very good. Wish there was a separate star rating for the service. The counter guy, with the dark curly hair and no name tag, should never be working with the public. He was rude and condescending. He will lose them more customers than poor food would. So, enjoy the food but hopefully, you will be waited on by someone nice. Oh, by the way, the other counter guy was very nice. Too bad he was not our first impression.

I’m a huge fan of Potbelly’s sandwiches however the parking at this location is horrible. If you are attempting to grab a quick lunch, don’t expect to park close and plan to have to hike across a very full office parking lot. Not sure they can solve this but it is impacting the lunch traffic at this location.

Service was quick and great. Sandwiches were delicious! Can’t go wrong with any sub you pick. Soups and salads are also amazing! Kids loved it!

Never again, Subway. These guys just put you out of business. A better sandwich. A better value. A better atmosphere. And better parking.

I just had my third experience with this Potbelly, but I can’t say that I’ve been terribly impressed. The first time I ever tried them, I ordered a sandwich online for carryout and when I arrived at the appropriate time, I discovered that it had not yet been made. The manager stepped in to quickly make the sandwich, but he seemed annoyed about it. I doubt that he was annoyed at me personally, but it did affect his demeanor and he came across as very curt and disengaged with my experience as a customer. I paid for my sandwich though, which was okay and a little overpriced for its size, and thought nothing more of it. The second time, a colleague had placed an online order for a business lunch the night before it was to be delivered. He received confirmation that it went through, but the food never arrived. He called the store to check on its status, but they said they never got his order. He even checked to see if it had gone to the other location in town by mistake, but they didn’t have it either. Furthermore, the store that was to deliver the food refused to take a replacement order because it was lunchtime and they were too busy. Not having lunch delivered for a business meeting embarrassed him greatly. Strike two. This most recent time, our office ordered lunch to be delivered again. We placed our order early enough(according to the online system) to have it delivered by 11:30, but they called shortly afterward to say that the earliest they could have it to us was 12:15 despite what the online system said. We told them that was fine and waited for our order to arrive. They called again at 12:15 to say they were out of cole slaw and offered to replace it with a salad, which was kind of them, but it seemed rather early in the day and late in the order process to notify us that they were out of cole slaw. The replacement apparently delayed our food even more because it finally arrived at 12:30, by which time most of us had gone back to work and had no time to eat. At least we did get our food this time though. The salad I ordered(which was identical to the one that replaced the cole slaw) was just mediocre. It contained a lot of lettuce that overwhelmed the chicken, grapes, craisins and apple flavors, and the salad dressing was just okay aside from smelling like paste. I’ve had similar salads from Wendy’s that taste much better. They also neglected to include any forks or napkins with our order, so I don’t know how they expected us to eat our salads without the right utensils.(Fortunately, I had another fork at my desk that I was able to use.) On a more positive other hand, the cup of chili that I also requested was pretty tasty and I have no complaints about it. That does very little to redeem the rest of my experiences with Potbelly. I don’t think I’ll be ordering from this location again. If I do, I’ll go to the restaurant and eat there, maybe after they get new management.

Overall great sandwiches. The good seems like a step up on the average sandwich. They do deliver however if you want this for your office and need a certain time they may not make it on time. Plan ahead for that. I would keep coming here from time to time. Think gourmet meets Jimmy Johns meets Quiznos.

The fresh food is heavenly and there are many choices. They had a tough go when they opened with inexperienced help, but now that they have that under control, it’s worth the trip. The hot peppers are AMAZING! They have live music sometimes.

Insanely fresh ingredients. I got a generous helping of meats & cheese & chopped egg & blue cheese on my Wreck salad. The Guy was a little under the weather, so he got the chicken noodle soup, which he proclaimed very good as well. This location caters primarily to the surrounding office parks, so, they are packed during the noon hour, but are pretty empty the rest of the day. Parking isn’t nearly adequate at the noon hour, though; they lose a star for that. I guess they figure I should be close enough to walk, but, seriously… the parking lot is WAAAY undersized. Come after one o’clock if you can.

A few months ago I googled, «What is the next chipotle?» I was looking for a good stock investment(I enjoy my fake portfolio on ). Potbelly came up, heralded as the next big, good, investment, so I bought a bunch of shares which took a big dive over the next 4 months, so I sold it, never having even tried a Potbelly product nor having seen a store. When I passed this one on the way through OP, I nearly slammed on my brakes. I was so excited to see one here and I’m thrilled there is one on the plaza too. WHY didn’t I know this!!! I quickly became a FAN, over their great servers, and tasty sandwich. I had a Mediterranean Sandwich with chicken and WOW, the flavors were attention-getting. Artichoke hearts, feta cheese, tangy humus, cucumber slices, lettuce and chicken on multi-grain bread. The bread tasted fresh and was lightly toasted. Perfect. The humus was OUTSTANDING. I can’t wait to go back again soon. I’m buying stock in it again! For my $ 8.00, I got an amazing sandwich.

Had potbelly in some random airport and loved it. Driving out for lunch one day and saw they had opened a location down the street! Unlike the airport location, this standalone has a large selection with malts and salads. I’m a fan of other sandwiches shops but feel Potbelly(while still new) is hitting it out of the park. We’ll write another review in 1 – 2 years from now after they have settled in.

My first Potbelly visit was in Minneapolis several years ago. I remembered good things and smiled when I saw the sign as I drove by this new location. Tried to stop in for lunch on a weekday and circled the parking lot in vain looking for a parking spot. Was in a hurry and had to leave without so much as stepping inside. Circled back on a weeknight and found the place pretty much empty. The staff was friendly and prompt. High quality bread and toppings always make for a good sandwich. Yum. Perfectly good. But great? Even amazing? To me it was missing a little something to be truly superlative. Now the cookies… wow. I’m not sure I have ever been flat out surprised and smitten with a cookie. Oatmeal chocolate chip I love you. Chewy with that little bit a crusty edge that gives so nicely when you bite. Loads of chocolate chips. Perfect oatmeal flavor without the crumbly dryness or the overly gooey texture. TRYONE! Oh, and true choice is yours at the soda fountain: Coke AND Pepsi. Power to the people!

It’s a known fact — I love Potbelly! I travel for my job and I have now been to locations in DC, Dallas and multiple in Chicago. I was super stoked to hear of the Plaza location, but I have yet to make it there. This week I was in the neighborhood on business and decided to stop into the newest location, which is SO much closer than the Plaza. The staff there was bursting with energy the second I walked into the door. Everyone seemed eager to help, but not in an annoying fashion. The food was exactly what I was looking for and the experience as a whole will keep me coming back!

About a year ago, I was more than excited to hear that Potbelly was coming to Kansas City. I only knew about the location on the Plaza, so finding this venue closer to home was a real delight. I’ve eaten at Potbelly in Chicago for years. It is so choice. I highly recommend it if you have the means. For about 8 bucks you can score a 6 inch sandwich, a bag of chips, and a drink. One distinguishing factor that sets Potbelly apart from other sandwich chains is the quality of the ingredients. With both Subway and Goodcents, you feel like the innards of your sandwich have been sitting around forever. Potbelly’s meats, cheeses, and fixins look and taste fresher and lead to a better experience. My one trip here(at least to the OP location) was during a work conference. It was noon and there was already a line nearly out the door. I was 16th in line(yes, I counted), but was really surprised how fast the line moved. There was an employee near the front of the line with an iPad taking orders before you even got to the counter. This REALLY expedited the process. My sandwich was already ½ way made when I got to the counter(roast beef and cheese on multigrain) and then I was able to customize it with mustards, onions, etc… Very intuitive! I’ll be back for sure. Potbelly is such a good option and the food is excellent. Don’t pass up an opportunity to eat here soon.
