McAtee Mechanical Service

Very good service and will not charge you an excessive amount. I often bring my car to him after I have gotten an estimate from another place. He is always lower in price and there are times he tells me I do not need to have some of the work done the other place wanted to do. I drive old cars and Rob saves me money all the time on repairs. Great place.

I had a belt fall off and he took my car immediately. Rob was really the trustworthy mechanic you thought didn’t exist. He used to work for chain companies and quit 35 years ago to start his own shop, because just as you thought, those places are trying to rip you off. He really enjoys fixing whats wrong and not messing with what works. And he doesn’t try to sell you any extras!

I’ve been going to Rob McAtee for car repairs for almost 20 years and my guess is I’m not the only customer with that sort of long relationship. McAtee Mechanical is the sort of super trustworthy car mechanic that you always hope to find. Like the high school guy in your group who could just listen to your beater that your parents passed down to you and tell you what would keep that engine purring. I don’t purchase any car without getting his opinion and each time he’s been totally on the mark about his assessment of a car’s road worthiness. I almost hesitate to post a review for fear he’ll get a bevy of new customers because he’s that good. But since he just helped me decide on my latest purchase and it’s new enough it better not have many hiccups — I’ll let the secret out.
Though I know there’s probably enough fans of his excellent work that he stays pretty darn busy and hardly needs a Unilocal review. But if you have need a trustworthy mechanic then call him, it’s worth the wait!
