We are a small chocolate and coffee shop in Ouray, Colorado.

We hand make all our chocolates, caramels, and toffees.

We roast all our coffee in a 19^th century Italian roaster.

History

Established in 2001.

We are a small family of chocolatiers and coffee roasters living in a small town nestled in the San Juan Mountains in the southwest corner of Colorado.

We use only the finest Belgian chocolate and make everything by hand. Our shop is open everyday except Christmas.

Stop by if you are in the neighborhood. We’d love to hear stories about how our chocolate has been a part of your lives. It brings us together in our love for chocolate, fine ingredients and sharing them with our family and friends.

Business Owner

John is one of the few that can say he was born in Ouray County (population 3500). But he doesn’t brag because his family moved to Montana before he was two years old. As soon as he could, he set out in his Jeep to reconnect with the place he knew was familiar but completely unknown. That was back in 1997. As with most of the folks here, he worked everywhere until he settled in at Mouse’s. He liked the concept, the owners and the people he got to know on each side of the counter. He had always wished he could roast coffee on that big antique piece of equipment and watch the flames, smoke and coffee beans pour out of it at the work of his own hands.
