History

Established in 1998.

Kip’s Carpet Cleaning was founded in 1998 by a young college student in Emporia Kansas who was looking to pickup some extra cash while going to college. Trained and mentored by a then 30 year carpet cleaning veteran Kip’s gain popularity in the Emporia market for the next 3 years. Upon graduating college this young business man decided to move back home to Leoti, a small rural Western Kansas community where he grew up as a boy. Kip’s operated in this small rural community gaining popularity and became known for exceptional value, service and a high level of work ethics. Then some 4 years later the company moved to Baldwin City Kansas with his now wife and three small children where they again gained loyal customers and for the next 6 years serviced customers in Douglas, and Johnson counties. In the fall of 2010 the company was purchased and incorporated by a family member. With the Corporate office located in Ottawa and a satellite office in Baldwin City Kansas.

Business Owner

He has over 30 years experience as a business leader and business owner with 25 of those years operating a successful photography studio, portable welding business and a contract sewing company that employed some 45 associates. His leadership and innovative management style along with his dedication to providing an over-​the-​top customer experience and service has given Kip’s Carpet Cleaning the ability to more than triple the number of customers served. While some would look at that as a great accomplishment, Mike is determined to not let that be his legacy with the company. Our main focus is to provide such a unique customer experience that all of our customers will ultimately become our Cheerleaders. Mike says we will accomplish this by our work ethics, honesty and a sincere desire to help our customers and their families live in a clean healthy environment and hopefully help save our customers from spending money replacing expensive flooring prematurely.
