Meet the Business Owner

Marlon L.

Business Owner

Marlon Longid is all alone, and sometimes he’s perfectly fine with it. Armed with a guitar and a looping pedal, Marlon is a one-man musical army whose skills embody true musical innovation. His mind-boggling creations of percussion, layered vocals and bass lines (all summoned from his voice and acoustic guitar) impress both musician and layman. The truth is, not many of the bigger live music acts bring what Marlon Longid does. In his case, less is more. Marlon cut his musical teeth with some of the finest musicians of this time, sharing the stage with roots rock legend Rick Danko (The Band), Blues Traveler and Chicago R&B great Pete Special (Pete Special Band & Big Twist and the Mellow Fellows). After forming the rock trio SoulFix in 1999 he and the band have earned the right to rock on stage with national acts Staind, Maroon 5 and King’s X and have performed at venues such as CBGB’s, the Metro, Double Door, House of Blues, Alpine Valley and First Midwest Bank Amphitheater.
